If I eat approximately 3 lbs. of ground beef, 1 lb. of chicken, and 2 lbs. of pork a week, how many animals have I eaten in my lifetime (figure those stats for 20 years)? I know the weights of the animals but, for instance, while a cow weighs 2,500 or so lbs., not all of it is USDA Prime Angus, which is the only beef I eat.
Why is this in the vegetarian forum? The average person eats 96 animals per year,,, but the average person is also overweight and on pharmaceutical drugs now too. I think people actually consume about 5X more meat now than they did in the early 1900's. You probably consume the first picture of pigs in this video per year : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oZ_i4qDRzzg
I can't imagine eating 6 pounds of meat in a week. Even when I WAS eating meat I couldn't stomach a tenth that much! Avocado - I'm glad I waited to see that while the kids were in their rooms... I couldn't make it through more than half of that. love, mom
