Okay you guys aren't understanding my point. My point is that it would be much harder to obtain a gun so people would have less guns and they would be much more expensive. And don't say anything about how this would be bad because people wouldn't be able to use guns for self defense. Just carry around fake guns. It would be just as effective.

well, i think the serious part of this thread is over, but im just gonna put in my 2 cents.

first of all, my oppinion is that guns should have never been created, but weve gone too far now, and its impossible to go back to what it is before. If we outlawed guns people would either make their own, buy them illegally from someone in america who could make their own, or import them from another country. because your gonna be hard pressed to get the entire world to outlaw guns.

my next thing is this part about the second ammendement that you gun owners love so dear.
The second ammendement was put into place to defende americans from the british government. because back when america was a colony, the british attempted to outlaw guns to lessen the chance of a rebelion.
So if you believe in the second ammendement, do you also think you should be able to park a tank in your back yard, because thats the only way you can even attempt to combat the american government by yourself.

finally, if you own a gun, and are in a situation where you feel you "need" to use it, your more likely to get hurt yourself.
if someone puts a gun to your face, give him your fucking wallet. your losing out on what? 20 bucks and a cell phone? its not worth it to attempt to pull a gun out of your pocket, aim it, and shoot him before he notices all this and just pulls the trigger.
