If I have mercury in cancer at 29 degrees (in my 9th house ) and my Leo sun is in my 9th house...would it be safe to say that I show tendencies towards communicating like a leo mercury as opposed to a cancer...since it is very late at 29 degrees?
cuz I dont see how it could be so cut and dry like if my sign is so close to another....makes no difference to me.
Before asking any deeper question...do you know your ascendant and your moon? What elements each represent? What does the elements in each represent? (for instance water is emotional while air is intelectual, etc) Knowing well how your three signs combine to make who you are, then you have a foundation for asking deeper more detailed questions,,,without that is like pouring water into a cracked pot. You don't start a house before laying a strong foundation.
yes and no, maybe. You could have the flavouring of leo but it is also over powered by the 29th degree, it makes it very intense. Now, since it is the 29th degree, then chances are great that you have already progressed to, or past, leo; although the resonant frequency still exists (which gets exerbated by transits: transits to the progressed and transits to the natal.) Leos are very detailed people, and like Virgos, sometimes they can't see the forest for the trees. Keep looking at the larger picture, how things combine and relate.
If you mix yellow with red you get orange...a different color altogether, yet having the nature of both. This combo of yours makes you self-centered in a big way..Leos like attention, and are like fire, add some emo into it, and BOOOM!! (it's not as bad as it seems)

Each sign is either Mutable, Fixed or Cardinal. I have found that Fixed signs are more stubborn and tend to keep same opinions for ever, while mutable signs are too flexible, an the Cardinal signs to be more balanced, considering things long before changing directions, this is not something I have read in any astrology book, it is an observation. Scorpios are fixed, cancers are cardinal, is leo a fixed sign? if it is then you are very stubborn..But don't just know that, see how you can benefit from it, or use it in the most positive way.
