Lincolnton, North Carolina - greater Charlotte area

I just got offered a journalism job in a town about 40 miles northwest of Charlotte, and I'm very seriously considering taking it if I pass my drug test, fingers crossed.




SO is anyone on this forum, up that way?

We're potheads and will be looking for the cheese as well as like-minded peacefuls for hanging out.

IF all goes to plan we will be moving right around my birthday July 8. PLEASE, IF anyone is out there within a 60 mile radius, we'd sure like some kind company. We're willing to drive a little ways to find the cool people and places.

Any direction from anyone who knows about the area would be helpful.

not to be too negative, but there's not a whole lot goin on down there....

charlottes got a decent music scene, probably not too hard to find some freaky folks there...

on the bright side, its only 60mi to boone, and 90mi to asheville

 

Yeah I visited the town, it's small, but not as small or remote as the outpost town in Montana where I lived and worked for 4 years. I bet I'll have a much better chance of finding peers in the greater Charlotte area than I did in Sidney Montana, and if not, well that won't be anything too new. I would like to find peers, but I'm also happy as a lonewolf.

When I lived in Montana we drove as far as 500 miles once for a bag of weed, it can't be that bad in North Carolina.
