the feeling you get after smoking? You know my mother asked me to describe it for her...but I really couldnt. After smoking everyday for years the feeling isnt the same, as say......someone who smokes for the first time. So I really didnt know what to say. I dont get "high". I dont what it is. She was saying that it is a "mind altering" drug, but I disagree. Yet...still couldnt define the feeling. The best I could do was say that it "relaxes the brain". She has never smoked pot before so she wanted a better description. What would you say?????
sorry, sweety, it is a mind-altering drug. whether you're pro or anti, it's still mind altering. it changes your state of mind. alchohol is mind altering too. anyways though, i'd describe it as a feeling of euphoria. just a pure good feeling of well being, a time when everything is perfect, and a time for you to get in touch with your inner-self, and bring out the ultra-creativity in you.
Well, yes you are right. Mind altering.... But see we were discussing this and she was talking about mind altering like lsd is...or esctacy. She was saying that driving while "high" must be impossible to do safely. She meant mind alterting in a more exaggurated way I guess. See, I dont get "high"....like I said I cant describe it but I do know that I was a better driver when I was toking. Im more relaxed, I mind the speed limit. I am not annoyed by angry drivers. So that was the context of that conversation. She couldnt understand that...I cant say I do either. But my mind or judgement is not impaired which is sorta what she meant. I am not saying this goes for everyone. Pot effects people in different ways and of course how long you have been smoking, how much, etc certainly will change how pot effects you personally. And if shes not tried anything and is jsut assumin thgins then shes anothing fuckin ignorant sod, who just needs to be tought a few things. i cant relate caus my mum has tried everything before me lol doesnt help that you cant explain it to her, or make the destinction between sense-altering and perception-altering drugs (lsd is a sense-altering drug for the senses you recieve are not what is reality, weed is perception altering because you se wahts in front of you, you feel what your feeling, you taste waht you taste, but they are enhanced, or percieved differently. i know thats jsut a generalisatino but it might help get the point to her). And remind her that when your high your more aware of the road, caus weed makes you more interested in things, and your more cautious caus weed raises your paranoia level. Of course, driving while baked off your ass is NOt a good idea, driving while buzzed or jsut high has been shown to improve safe driving. When your a little bit high you concentrate on teh road but when your really high, you concentrate on the dashboard or that fly on your windscreen, or wonder at that mystical bus thats slowly coming closer.. and closer..

Where does it say that she is "anti drug"? She is asking me to describe something for her.....because she hasnt done drugs or doesnt know about them doesnt make her ignorant. She has plenty of knowledge on the subject from lots of reading....but doesnt know first hand because she has never smoked. Ok, sorry for the misunderstanding Elle. I've never tried anything other that herb, but I can tell they are much more of mind-altering drugs (X, LSD). She really won't ever be able to understand you, only someone that's actually tried it can. But I agree with yall though, I usually find myself driving like 10 MPH UNDER the limit, and road rage is just a silly thing people do. lol. Youre right...she wont really understand the feeling unless she has tried it. I am just trying to find the best way to describe it for her because she is so curious....but I cant find the words. Yes, people who mindlessly listen to goverment propaganda are ignorant.....people who make decisions without proper knowledge are ignorant. sorry, you just made it out to be a situation of your mum dissaproving of you smoking and you trying to jsutify it by explaining how it really feels. thats how it seemed, im sure im not the only one who percieved it like that.
I've never smoked it before but that makes it sound a lot more appealing to me. It makes me wish I smoked!
The way I perceived it was that her mom is just trying to understand her, not judging her for smoking. She sounds like she might actually be interested in trying it, since her daughter, whom she loves, enjoys it so much. Maybe I'm wrong, but that's how I was when my husband told me he smoked. I asked him (and continue to ask him) everything I can think of to ask about it, because I want to know about things before I try them. The more I learn, the more I want to try marijuana. Sounds like she's the same way.
when I smoke.. I feel like I am floating... my legs sometimes feels weak.. and I feel really lazy at times.... and other times I can’t sit still...sometimes you might feel tired too.. I get really happy when I smoke.. I laugh alot after I smoke too .......... and I get really hungery............
