I think its really cute and special that skyler has certain words he will say that ony me and my husband knows. Baboo - I love you I see - I want to flip the light switch on and off yeah yeah yeah, ah-bee day! - La, La, La, Elmo's World! (yeah i dont get that one either)
I like it when my kids starts saying "duck oo duck oo" (meaning fuck you hahaha) and "oddam it! oddamiT!" It cracks me up every time
Well my LO is a bit young yet for words, but my when my step sister was little she would say: "abba-da, abba-da!" (I want that) "ami-ucki" (Where's my sucky?)
My daughter just coos and smiles, that's cuteness all in it's own. My son is at the point where everything he says is cute. papa/daddy- obvious Mama- obvious doggy- everytime a dog barks, sometimes I get confused with daddy and doggy, they sound a lot alike. Kitty sissy- these two sound a like also. Mi-ma- Grandma I think it is really cute when I come home from work and he stands by the front door or window saying "Papa! Papa! Come in, come in, come in."
My nephew has just started stringing words together. MAMMANEEEE is mummy Dadddda - daddy woe woe is Lauren (his sister) Anananahahahan - is Hannah (auntie) zeel - Hazel (me) mat - pat (postman pat) Geeeee (dummy) Boobies - strawberrys (we didnt teach him boobies though) I started saying to him ready stready gooooo then running with him, the other day he was in his pram and I was walking happily and he was talking to himself, I listened and he was saying . . . . . . eddie, eddie ooooohhhhhhh. It was so funny I was laughing the whole way home with him saying that!!!!
i'm a writer interested in kid language and sometimes i'll comment here about 'babble' and invented words . in the theory of language i embrace and practice , every individual phonetic sound has meaning . so b is a word , like e is a word , and so on . a longer word such as bo-te-gu is a close relationship of six root meanings . a parent can deduce the meanings of such words by paying close attention to the context to which the child speaks . kids speak within and to the here and now , and their natural language is genuine and respectable .
hum, Leane has a huge vocabulary of cute words! For dogs she says, "puppy.....arf." she says "ummmm" all the time when you ask her something "uv you" is I love you "bubble" is bath "dee-doo" is thankyou one of her favourite words is "ditry." Obvious, but so funny. Especially when we're at the store or something, and she plugs either her own or someone elses nose and says, "ewwwww, dirty." That usually means she farted. "uh oh," whenever she did something wrong or something falls "ooice" is juice "shoooooooooes," is shoes "oweee," for when she gets hurt thats all I can think of at the moment. Besides the normal words like mommy and daddy and hi and bye and all them words...
zion calls my dog kitty, and his grandpas dog apollo "pawo", when tommy calls he gets the phone and says "whosit" =) he also points and things and says "whasat" all his sentences turn into one word LOL
aww thats all so cute! I can't wait for landon to start talking! I love all the cute things kids say.
