im 19 years old and there are alot of troubles here now. alot i cant go into detail because there are legal issues there. but i am thinking that in a couple weeks or months when this shit is over of moving to canada. it just really seems like a great country to me. i was wondering how much money would need to move to canda and what things i would need to cross the boarder and then find work and apply for citizenship. i dont have a criminal record and have never been arrested. thanks to anyone who replies

its a great country, and the laws to get in are probably a bit harder for americans than other foreigners, but if u got a job thats in demand u shouldn't have a problem.

move to alberta and apply for a job there. Mcdonalds will suck you off everyday if you promise to work there (not to mention start you off at 12.95/ hr). every employer is in such need of employees its rediculous. housing is realyl pricey though, but at least its a good way into the country

immigration is no different for immigrants of the united states than from other countries except those that are in the commonwealth ..a bit easier for them

I don't think they'll let you in without the job, even in Alberta. I know Calgary has some transient issues because while the jobs do grow on trees, if you don't have housing set up, it's not too hard to end up on the streets.

I had a buddy from Australia who's worked here on visa before, had two jobs lined up for months and still had a pile of issues getting back in. The first issue was that the company for the one job failed to contact Immigration with the documentation they were supposed to be responsible for and it fucked him.
