    Agreed, it's trippin me out.

Great article, everyday i hear new things. The only thing now is that we need the government to stop being so ignorant, and use this wonderful drug.

good article. it pisses me off that theyre trying to synthesize it. they just want a way to ensure that they will be making all the profits off of it. theyll probably go preaching that their synthesized version is better for you so no one would be growing their own pot. i fuckin hate the pharmaceutical industry and the fda. that would be nice if pot was legalized for medicinal purposes. it would eventually be more widely accepted and we would be a step closer to legalization.

I think it's funny how it has already been synthesized and is used as pain relief in dentists offices, though it isn't the full potency as marijuana, it is a Sch. III drug... Illogical? You tell me.

Yeah, the synthetic actually doesn't work that well at all. Marinol, really just doesn't help the same way. One of my friends has to take it because he had a stroke, and he doesn't even take his Marinol. He would instead smoke, or eat buds. Because they work so much better, he says Marinol can't compare.

I think its very intersting how they are creating analogs, yeah its fake and nothing beats the smell and taste of some real herb, just as they used over 2000 years ago,
but think of all the analogues that have already been created: for instance mdma/extacy is an analogue of methamphetamine.
So possibly they could wind up with a whole set of new problems- new drugs wich would need scheduling.

ghost of rat your probably right but it would be nice dream that the government would create the oxcontin of bud and sold it at every pharmacy and hospital

^see thats the problem, they wouldnt sell it at pharmacys. A newly created analog might stay legal for a year or two before it is scheduled. You see they try to create analogs to treat specific medical problems such as alzheimers or just simple pain relief,
theyve already proven certain strains of bud can be good for curing certain problems but the pharmacutical companies want to make money from these new drugs.
A synthetic analog would gain more support from the government because its not cannabis. Therefore if new sucsessful drugs are created cannabis would loose favour of being legalized, even for medical purposes as synthetic chemicals would be used.
