God, I remember how good playing Sonic 2 was on the Mega drive. It was so fun, fast and well basic but complex back in the day. Some games were quiet advanced despite the fact they were say 4 bit games. Take populous on the MS. This game reminds me of some role playing game on the DS. some viking game or something. Anyway, Populous was quite absorbing and not as easy as people may think. Then of course the Game Boy game Zelda, Links awakening. It was very skillful and intense. Maybe it was one of the best RPGs on the Gameboy? What was your favourite game and old console. ?
Links awakening = best GAMEBOY game ever, not just rpg and as for Sonic 2, i dont have any interest in it, but it just came out for the Wii's virtual console on monday
Links Awakening is cool. Hey if ya like the old games check out www.romhustler.net and download an emulator and the game and play away on your pc. They have the rom files and emulator programs to play them with. These are Windows emulators! But Linux has very good emulators too. You install the emulator program from your repository list and then download the game files. I put mine on a CD so I don't take up disk space. There are other free rom sites if you Google "free roms" and you should be able to find all the old "retro" games you want. I like Dr. Mario and used to have it for my gameboy color. Now I play it on my computer and it even plays better than it did on my console. LOL!!!! Have fun!!!!! Peace, Cricket
i liked thIS one game where u had a pistol, and u aimed at the screen trying to shoot birds and this this really funny dog would run around the screen, i think it was called the hunt or something
that's the biggest NES collection I've ever seen I only have three fucking games cause all but one got swiped and I only re-bought 2 so far
i think it would be neat if they started putting them in cereal boxes with tokens, say 10 tokens gets u a snes console or w/e and a game in each box
I had a few games I really loved on the NES. I think my first big favorite was Legend of Zelda...it was so ahead of its time, it was easy to see that it was something special. The Mega Man series was also a favorite of mine, and I would pop in Mega Man 2 or 3 every few months for a couple of hours, even though I had played it through in the past. As far as lesser known titles I really liked, there was River City Ransom, which played like Double Dragon mixed with an RPG...you could buy items and customize your guy, lots of fun and replayability. I also liked another "clone"...Clash at Demonhead which played like a Mega Man style platformer, but again with some RPG elements of acquiring items. Also, speaking of RBI baseball from above, I was really hooked on Baseball Simulator 1.000. It was one of the few NES sports games I really loved. It played like RBI, but it added to the replayability by allowing you to customize your own team...and it had a league where the members had superpowers. (!) It sounds crazy, but it really worked. Very fun game. If you've got an emulator for your computer, check some of those out. They're totally dated, but it might be a fun way to kill a rainy afternoon.
We have most of the old consoles. I recently bought a intellivision one because the old one died. We also have most of the new consoles. My games are almost always not games that are very popular.
Super Metroid was the awesomest game on the SNES, not only because it was a great game in its own right, but because it also partly inspired Konami to make Symphony of the Night the way it is. Megaman/Rockman is also one of my favorite series, until Megaman X4. X5 and beyond are utter shit and it makes me sad : ( One great game for the NES that rarely gets mentioned is ActRaiser. It's the grandfather of SimCity AND an addicting platformer. On top of that you play the role of GOD!
Sonic on the Sega Mega Drive... Donkey Kong on Nintendo... Both Consoles are in Perfect Working Order... And All the Games for Each...
