    What is your favorite meat substitute? Not that we need anything that resembles meat, just the main protein source of your diet.

    bean sprouts. not a meat sub. but where i get my protein none the less.

    Beans, tofu, quorn
    I eat about equal amounts of those, though am phasing out the quorn.

    I had a lot of problems digesting quorn. Belly ache city!

    and avocados and nuts!

    but really though, avocados have to be one of my main 'staple' foods.

    I love beans in place of meat in most things. My new favorite veggie junk food is Morningstar Farms corn dogs.

    Do they contain MSG Drummin Mama???

    There's an article posted on my health food store bulletin on how they use factory farmed eggs in many of their products, and they knowingly contribute to really bad factory farms....

    Not to mention the vast majority in their products is not organic.....

    I find it interesting that hemp is not even listed as an option in this poll. I think hemp should be a much more common food substance than it is right now...especially since it's like 100X more environmentally friendly than grain agriculture.

    I always eat either tofu or seitan, at least thats what my veggie burger package says...

    I LOVE Cheese, but it makes you gain weight-so usually I stick w/ Soy or beans. Depends on the mood.

    I doubt it, or I'd never have had a second one.
    they do have egg, I believe, so they have gone away from my world.
    they were a 2-3 times a year indulgence.
