Storing morning glory

Does anyone know if MG seeds (and ofcourse, I'm talking about the active ingredients here) are very sensitive to storing conditions? I wouldn't expect some of the seeds people randomly pick up from gardening stores to be very fresh, but then again not everyone has sucess with them either. I know LSA is sensitive to sunlight and heat, but does the seed husk protect it. Any thoughts on this?

 

I keep mine in a large bag in a drawer. I've had my huge ass bag from the seed place I linked in my how to guide for about 8 months and I'm still trippin pretty strong on em.

 

Seeds packages in stores almost always have a date on them, to make sure they are fresh, for the intended purpose of planting them, freshness is important.

 

the LSA's are inside the seed, not near the shell, and so protected. thats why you have to chew/grind the seeds.

 

^ well that's true but overtime the seed will "die" instead of just being dormant and then you will probably be SOL but like I said I've mine for over 8 months and they're fine. You could probably keep em for a couple years without issue.

 

i would guess keep them in a small fridge with a decantint* to keep them cool and dry. A seperate fridge can be gotten used from free-$20 that will work great.

 

That's great, I didn't think they would but I wanted to be sure, so I can make larger orders ahead of time instead of buying them as I need them. Thanks for the help.
