How many potheads out there dive? I came back from Mexico a few weeks ago and I did 4 dives. 2 night dives, 2 day dives and they were all awsome. Saw turtles, a GIANT stingray, a morey, a shark, as shitload of awsome fish, and the water was all glowey when we turned out our lights. It was really funny because one of my friends is big and they didn't have a wetsuit that fit him so he used a XXL and still looked like a 2lb sausage in a 1lb bag. lol

What are your diving or snorkeling stories?

If you have never dove or snorkeled, I HIGHLY reccomend either. Diving is more fun but it costs quite a bit to take the classes and then rent the equipment and such.

also didnt need any lessons, seems like common sense, u float about, u dive - u rise , u blow ( blows water out of snorkel) and float again

    I'm not a pothead,

But I'm a certified PADI recreational diver, night diver, blah, blah, blah... I started my Rescue course, but got ear infections and never completed it. I have problems diving since my ear infections from childhood make equalizing awfully difficult.

Anyhow, my best experience was actually snorkeling... with a building sized whale shark.

No one other than little kids needs snorkeling lessons.

You are a little kid though, so I guess some of the other people you went with might have needed lessons.

I went snorkling in Lanzarotte which is about 50 miles off the coast of Africa, absolutely stoned every day of my holliday last year. The island is made up out of 300 volcanoes and under the water theres the solidified lava bombs that landed in the sea and theres millions of troppical fish and octopusses.

I had an Idea to swim out with loafs of cheap bread to feed them. You mush the bread up under the water and wait for em to come. all swarming round my head.
This is no word of a lie. but when the fish had eaten the bread and i swam on a bit into deeper water the fish dissapered! Only to find when i turned round a certain type of fish was following me where ever i went. A massive showl of them.
Never got the chance to scuba dive coz it was too much money. maybe next time?

Awsome stories man! I've always wanted to go spear fishing, but only for tasty and edible fish. Sucks that you can't really dive all that much Sir Rubin, I love it. I also have some problems equalizing because of an ear infection when I was a kid. But it isn't too bad.

You derive pleasure in the act of killing INNOCENT fish? First of all, karma's a bitch- you know...i've heard you complaining about depression and your bad life...maybe this is because you're so cruel to others? You get what you give, the souls of those fish are haunting you. Until you recognize your wrong-doing and pour sorrow and regret from your heart, you will be a tortured soul. If you create hell for others, you will live in hell. I hope you enjoy it!

Do you think killing a fish for food is wrong, or are you just saying that if he hunted these fish for fun it is wrong? I have eaten fish that I have caught before. I agree killing the fish just for fun is wrong, but not if you are going to eat them.

^ Killing fish for food is wrong. But honestly if you're doing the fishing, and then cooking that fish it's MUCH better than to buy it commercially. Same goes for hunting, if you hunt and kill an animal yourself it cuts out all the torture and cruelty of the meat industry, however i still see it as a wrongdoing. We have a vast array of plants and beans and seeds available to eat, of which our consumption causes no suffering, so why would you eat something that needs to suffer? Eat plants.

You have a very unhealthy elitist attitude towards this.

    Eat plants?

I eat plenty of plants...but man, do I LOOOOOOVE steak!

I think that hunting and fishing are wonderful exactly for the reason you mentioned... you bypass all the turture. I fully support hunters who hunt for food.

Hunting for sport is very different, and as you said... wrong.

I myself cannot hunt or fish, I cannot kill any animal, it's not in me...

But I would much rather buy my yuuuuuuummmmmmmy steak meat off a hunter than from the supermarket.

I think I'm gonna go cook some steak now.

Now I could get into a larg arguement about why eating meat is not wrong and it is natural, but I will not because it is not the point of this thread. IF you would like to make a new thread I would love ot discuss that issue with you.

May have been 7 or 8 in the Maldives, we had the unforgettable experience of swimming close, in fact holding hands, and not being able to see each other for fish.
