I never had one with Leane, but the few times I actually used one, they made a world of difference. This time around, since I determined to get this breastfeeding thing right, it's at the top of my list of things to get for this new guy. I went to go buy one of the big ones that wrap all the way around your torso, but then I saw these smaller ones (I believe the jolly jumper brand I was looking at called them "peanuts"), which are much fluffier, but not nearly as long and only fit in under one side of your body/boob, as opposed to all the way around. (I hope that made sense).
I was just wondering if anyone on here uses bfing pillows and which are the best kind that you used... :)

I loved my Boppy too, I used one with both kids. My friend lent me hers and it was called My breast friend or something. It wrapped around and velcroed on, I HATED IT. The Boppy is so simple and I thought much more comfortable than the other pillow. I found a Boppy at a yard sale for $4, bought a new cover for it and used that instead. I even took it with me to the hospital and that made a huge difference to nurse her in those awful beds (I had a c-section so had to stay 2 nights). I'd definitely recommend a Boppy, but look at 2nd hand shops or yard sales, they are everywhere and I've thrown my whole Boppy in the washer!

Now that my Ayla is sitting but still falls over after a while, I can use my Boppy behind her to give her some support, so we are still using the pillow and she's 8 months old!

I also have a boppy and love it. I agree, one of the most useful peices of baby equipment.

ok, from the pictures that earthy mam posted, that boppy is the same thing as the wrap around one I was talking about. Apparently no one has heard of the smaller one, lol

there, tada, I found a link to show what I'm talking about. It's much smaller than the other one you guys were talking about, which is the other type that I'm looking into buying.

hmm I haven't seen that before. It looks like it would be more comfortable, imo. I love my boppy but I get annoyed about how it wraps around your body and you have to keep it in that one position to use it for nursing. That one looks a bit more flexible. kwim?

However I like the boppy because I use it for so many other reasons, other than just for nursing. Landon loved to lay in it when he was younger, and he still does. We also use it to give him some extra support while sitting, and we use it to put him on his tummy. i dont think you could do all that with that peanut pillow.

so all in all i think the boppy is a better buy. you'll use it for so many things.

I'd never seen that one before. Based on this thread and my experience, I'd stick with the original Boppy.
