Even if you do burn, its good to use sun protection and go nude anyways. Its better for the body to be nude rather than clothed and the body can adapt to its surroundings to a certain degree anyways and actually wearing clothing defeats some of the bodies natural sensors and temperture adjustment abilities and when its cold out you actually can get colder easier by wearing alot of clothes than being partially or completely naked and when its hot its easier to get hotter with clothes on than without.
NO WAY DUDE SUNSCREEN FUCKS WITH THE BODYS SENCES MORE THAN CLOTHES JUST GO NUDE IN THE FOREST WERE THE SUN CANT GET U
i'm alergic to the sun, but i still go out in it, i just get sick if i get more then a few hours at a time. and it makes me anemic(sp) but i'm lucky, i don't burn. unfortunately i hardly tan either. oh well. atleast i won't have fried chicken skin when i'm 25. lol
aaawww, thank you. It's not too bad today... I'm going to slap on loads of this after-sun gel stuff, then try my best to stay covered up as much as I can.
I share your pain! No matter waht I do I burn really badly. Once I got so badly burnt that I couldn't walk for a week I just had these enormous blisters on the backs of both my knees - it was incredibly painful! I tend not to go out in the sun too much!
I've been out in the sun again today (it was a two day job). Although this time I wore trousers and a long sleeve t-shirt, I could not protect my face and the back of my neck, which are now even redder than before. I'm going to get some photos in a mo, i'll share them when I've got them
Yeah, dude, your neck probably looks the worst. That sucks.... a lot, and it'll probably suck more pretty soon, haha.
I love being sunburnt. That may come as a surprise but.... (DON"T TRY THIS AT HOME!!!) I have always loved being out in the sun. I have red hair and a very pale skin and should be very careful of overdoing it. But as a kid growing up in Sunny South Africa there was no way you could keep me out of the sun. Hell I used to come home with my back one big blister. But I kept on going out into the sun. The result is that my skin learnt how to deal with it. Now, at age 50, I will burn once in early summer and once that skin peels away I just go brown. My skin evolved! I admit to being very cynical of all those things that are supposed to be so bad for you. Everything that is fun it seems will kill you. POOH! If you believe all that you may as well hide in a little white room and do nothing with your life. The worst is a commercial for soap that promises to place a germ barrier between your kids and the outside world, keeping them germ-free. Yee Ha! How is that kid's system going to learn the natural defenses against these threats if he is not exposed to them. Kids gotta get dirty. That is what growing up is all about. The body deals with the germs perfectly in normal people and it gets stronger and stronger. Get out and enjoy the world. And if you die early well hell, at least you have had a life! Rusty
OK, I'm kinda with you on that one.... I mean i'm a bit over weight (got a bit of a beer belly), and so one of the best ways of dealing with that is to stop eating full-english breakfasts, and a lot of the other crap I eat - but meh, you only live once, you might as well enjoy it. But when it comes to the sun, I think you've got to be extra careful. After all, it's not hard slapping on some suncream before you go out in it... and the suncream is not going to change the way you have your fun... so the way I see it, you have nothing too loose. If I had some, I would have plastered my body with the stuff, but alas I didn't, and you can see the results. And I believe the sun can be very dangerous, no one wants to get cancer or anything nasty like that from too long in the sun. Also, I think the sun is diffrent now to what it was 30 - 35 years ago. it might have been safer back then than it is now... Anyway, I'm no scientist or nowt, and in truth know very little about the sun, but if you're going to be in the sun, cover up
I think the advertisments for sunscreen have a lot to answer for. They have placed an isrrational fear into ordinary folk. They have made people scared of the sunshine. Yes skin cancer can kill you, but you have to get it first. While the hole in the ozone layer might be responsible for a greater incidence of melanoma in people it is not as prevalent as they would make out. How many people do you really know with skin cancer. I'll bet it is very few. I am not saying that by ignoring the sun you weill be safe. You might get it, but it is unlikely. And yes, do use sunscreen - it doesn't hurt - but don't let the irrational fear of the sun stop you going out naked. There is so much joy in (non-sexual) nudity.
