Hi everyone, I'm new to all of this, so I hope this works! I have just purchased "Hair" on DVD and was just interested to know which other Hippie related movies you guys would recommend (Of the 60's & 70's) that are out there that I could purchase???... Any thoughts would be appreciated...
Alice's Restaurant Easy Rider Rainbow Bridge Woodstock Monterey Pop these have got to be the top 5 imo.
Don't know about top five, but Woodstock is definately one of my favourite films that would be considered "hippyish"!
Try Head and Magical Mystery Tour. They aren't amazing movies in terms of quality, but they're a ton of fun.
Tommy Woodstock Rainbow Bridge Almost Famous The Rutles (beatles spoof; All you need is cash & Sgt Rutter's Only Darts Club Band ) The Who Live @ Isle of Wight Oliver Stones The Doors and maybe; The Big Labowsky & Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas Hope this helps you some Peace
Harold and Maude Woodstock Even Cowgirls Get the Blues What the Bleep do we Know Easy Rider Grateful Dead Movie Indigo I Heart Huckabees Down the Rabbit Hole Sgt. Peppers Tommy

Not all of these are from the 60's-70's era, but this is my list of the best hippie/stoner movies out there. Dazed and Confused, Across the universe, Donnie Darko, Thirteen, Harold and Kumar 1 and 2, Alice in Acidland, Easy Rider, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless mind, Girl Interrupted, Saving Grace, Rolling Kansas, Homegrown, Super High Me, Reefer Madness, PCU, Knocked up, How High, Fast Times at Ridgemont high, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, Pineapple Express, Grandmas Boy, Friday, Up in smoke, The big Lebowski, Stoned Age, Fear and loathing in Las Vegas, Smiley Face, Grass, Supertroopers, Bongwater, Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Pot Luck, The Trip, Brewster McLeod, Psych out, True Romance, The Wackness, PI, I <3 Huckabees, Stone and Ed, Animal House, Its all gone pete tong, Stripes, Rockers, Evil Bong, The Stoned Age, Puff Puff Pass, Superbad, Spun, Trainspotting, Rock-Opera, ching chang chong, The wall, Traffic, Mallrats, Little Miss Sunshine, Half baked, Requiem for a Dream, Blow, V for Vendetta, Matrix 1,2,3
I don´t consider Clockwork Orange as a hippie film. Yeah, it´s pretty famous and cult thing, it´s from early 70´s decade, but whole film is about violence and brutality. Nothing "hippie" I mean.
Fear and Loathing Where the Buffalo Roam The Wall and of course, the animated Alice in Wonderland. great for shrooms
That´s true...but hippie philosophy is in my opinion about freedom of mentally healthy individuals, isn´t it?
