Gnawing teeth of hunger Banish thousands From this world Everyday Yet we look away From this attack not wanting to know Like a distant act in the deep of the sea We will never see So we all play dumb And accept this shark attack as tribute to a kill But my fish is tied to the boat and its name is compassion And it is being devoured through the toothy maw Called apathy
