Failure to skip period on the pill.

hey i'm new here. i was just wondering if anyone else has tried to skip their period on birth control pills by not taking the placebos. i just tried to do that, but i got my period anyways, and i've been lightly bleeding for about a week. if anyone's had similar problems or some advice it would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

 

i used to be able to do it with my old brand of pills, but the new brand im on (which is a lower dose of hormones) when i tried to do taht, i had bleeding as well. it basically just put my period off by about 3 days then i got it as per normal, but a little bit heavier. if your pill is a reltaively low dose, it doesnt always work to stave off mensturation

 

in order to skip your period while being on birth control you have to take all your pills through the third week. then when you are supposed to take the "sugar" pills, you get the new pack and start it over again.

i promised myself i wouldnt do that, but im going to an over night festival and having my period there would be uncomfortable. just be sure you arent skipping it all the time!

you can skip it every two months but it has to be a high does hormonal bc. you need to ask your doctor if your bc is possible for this

 

This is insane! I've been bleeding for 11 days now.
Does anyone know if taking the placebos of my current pack right now then starting a new pack after would stop the bleeding? And if not is there any other way to stop the bleeding? I'm going on vacation to Hawaii very soon and I DON'T wanna be bleeding!!!! Please helppp

I'm now on the second week of this month's pack

I haven't done it before. And it's been almost two weeks now.

when you go to skip it again (if you still decide that) it shouldnt happen. im not a doctor or anything like that, but by the second time it should all be good.

 

i spotted on and off like the whole pack of pills...it was so stupid. Ive never skipped my period again...my body had it anyway rather i wanted it to or not.

 

Yeah, I don't think I'll try to skip it again any time soon. I've been spotting for like three weeks, and its summer. I don't wanna repeat this for the last month of summer vacation.

 

SHIT! I just did it again. I skipped just fine this month! ...or so I thought
I just started bleeding and cramping and I'm not supposed to be on my period for another week, I'm not even done my active pills yet! Should I skip right to the placebos and bleed it out or should I keep taking my pills as normal? I don't wanna be bleeding for another goddamn three weeks!!!!!!
