the only thing(s) i have to say about any of it...as an american, we need to stop invading countries, get the heck outta iraq, and start seeing what is best for the american people, if we are going to be one country. Plus, speaking about seeing what is best, instead of invading countries and not minding our own business, we definitely need to ship food, shelter equipment, water, medical supplies, etc to those countries who are not yet on their feet either because of famine, war effects, or another ailment.

as a memory. a not entirely pleasant one. though it did have its moments.

exactly the same as can be said, for any other nation or hierarchal organization of any sort.

not that there can't or won't be others, but individualy, each come and go, strut their hour upon the stage, and then retire to be replaced by other actors.

it is not a matter of strength or weakness in any sense, nor of better or worse, but rather it has to do with reality and the nature of imperminence.

If you want to see where the US will be in twenty years, look at England now.

that is one of the more hopeful possibilities. certain a very real one. and quite possibly one of the more probable among them.

that is in the range of begining in a few decades and continuing for the fallowing century or two after that.

but looking out any further beyond that time, it is unlikely that countries as we know them, the u.s. being no exception, well i think it just might be a VERY different world, and not in a worse way.
