Languages, how many do you speak?

Oh, come on, you know I wasn't trying to say that all of the Balkan languages became of Serbian, I just wanted to say that if there is Croatian language (which is same as any other Balkan language even though linguists are trying to change it), why wouldn't there it be Macedonian or Montentegrian language as well?...Or why wouldn't we call all of those languages Yugoslavian, or Balkanian or something like that?...
I don't care, you started this first....

Georgi, the bulgarian guy, I am from Macedonia - and I dont speak Marsian. Macedonia gained independence about 20 years ago so this means that it has not its own language?
Stupid thing to say.
What would you say 100 years later, when Macedonia will be more mature as a country?
Will you be ignorant about its language again?
....maybe you Bulgarians should stop listening (and singing - in Macedonian language!!) to Macedonian old songs in your pabs, so that you would be able to say that the Macedonian language does exist.

 

Now back to the topic, I speak French, English and Macedonian.

 

Hehehehehehehehe, OMG, this made me so laugh, am I wrong or people in Bulgaria and Macedonia have the same relation as Serbians and Croatians?...I mean, there is lots of rivalry between your two countries, right?...I didn't know that before, but I made this conclusion from your post...
My opinion that idea of "Yugoslavia" was stupid is based on milion different currents in all of our countries, so the breaking up was unavoidable...You know, I want this, you want that, we can't agree and we're not willing to find a compromise so we cannot last together....

This idea of trying to say you have a different language even though it's essentially the same as the next is like Moldova not just admitting they speak Romanian. It's pointless, it's like Ireland saying we don't speak English just cos we speak it a bit differently. I think the Swiss and Austrain analogy that was used was quite fitting.

Sorry Spacer, but you have no idea what is the situation like in the Balkan.
The languages have always existed, the separate nations have always existed and the languages are not dialects of each-other.

 

You don't understand people on Balkans (even I don't understand them sometimes), like I've said, there has been (and still is) much rivalry, so we all need to separate from each other, even our languages has to be called differently, I don't like that fact, but, that's how it is....Name of the language is just form, it's no matter how it's going to be...
Except I can say that I speak several different languages....:H

Ive got the typically English trait of only really speaking English - and some people cant understand me speaking that! LOL: )

I learned French for a few years.German for one.Just in school.
Id like to learn Russian ,as Im eligible for Russian citizenship etc by grandparentage.
And I think itd be nice.
But Ive got a memory like a sieve , and my head would probably explode LOL

I speak gesture language, facial language and body language.
Besides, Portuguese is my mother tongue and my English is what you can see. I also speak some Dutch, and the kind of Spanish spoken by Portuguese when they've never taken lessons of that: Portuñol = Português+Español
I know some phrases in French, German and Italian. Few common words in Polish, Czech, Greek, Arabic, Cape-Verde creole, Hungarian, Russian, Japanese, etc

Dutch is my motherlanguage. When I am back home I speak a very beautifull dialect called Zeeuws. The interesting thing about this dialect is that even in France there are places where they understand you. (Duinkerke)

When I was about eleven I started to study English. Did this for seven years during elementary and secondary school and I can manage pretty well.

My third language to learn was French and I really hated this language. Had to study it for five years and afterwards I am not really sure wheather I didn't like the language or the teacher... Anyways, I thouht that I had forgotten everything but a couple of weeks ago I went to France and it wasn't that bad.

Fourth language to learn in school was German. For Dutch people this is really an easy language to learn. I can understand 100% and probably speak around 75%.

Fifth language in school was Spanish. Really cool language! Always wanted to be fluent in this one. Unfortunately I had to do the 4th grade of high school again because I didn't really do a thing. The teacher wanted me to start all over again with spanish although I had an A after the first year. Still want to learn so if anyone want to write mails in spanish

After high school I went to Slovakia for some voluntary work and there I learned Slovak. The funny thing from speaking Slovak is that you ca also understand Czech, Polish and a bit of all the other Slavic languages.

Last but not least I did a semester of Russian.

Macedonian language do exist, montenegrian people speak Serbian (ok, Serbo-Croatian because Serbian and Croation are not diferent languages even thoy Croations want to have their own language). And don't make stypid, pro - bugarian statements that aren't held with facts.
Ever heard of Saints Cyril and Methodius's, the nice people who took care of all south -eastern slavonic languages? Well they made them all diferent according to the local spech.
Also, Macedonian is the only eouth eastern slavic language thet doesn't have cases. Wow from when dialects have such big gramatical diferences?

You should get more informed.
Also, i speak Eglish and French, that's why i can understand Italin, Does that make Italian an English and French dialect?
