Hey, I just would like to get it out and have some feedback about what you people think and identify with the folowing text, its long but please read.

Im 24 some people consider me an alcoholic, I really have been drinking way to much for way to long... I have been to exposed and exposing others to dager for example driving and not even knowing how i got home etc... This weekend, some friends and I went to a farm where we drank during every moment whilst we were awake... it was very amusing but the moral and fisical hang over os just to bad.
I was even taken to the hospital because i had a fairly large cut on my right foot, consequence of the booze, to give you guyes an idea.

I have now decided to stay away from all kinds of drinks except for beer. My goals are to smoke less, play more squash during the week, do better at work and concentrate on a possible relationship with this girl i REALLY like. I do believe all that alcohol has kept women a bit distant from me during my life.
I never really understood or have been envolved with non drinkers so I am not even close to become one.. all i want to do is be able to have some beer and have fun, no more exagerations. At least not as many.

If you people are curiouse, ill post some pics as soon as i get them.

    Thanks !!

I am glad that you brought this up. I have been contemplating my drinking for a while now. I have been drinking since i was 14, I am now 36. There were a few years between the ages of 28 and 32 where my drinking slowed way down. I would have a couple while grilling out but that is about it. But between 14 and 28 I drank hard. I grew up in rural Illinois with nothing but pigs, cows, corn crops and bean crops around so there was nothing else to do. We learned how to really consume alcohol. I went through a divorce at 32 and my drinking has slowly been increasing since. I drank pretty hard last week for the 4th of July holiday. We started at 11:15 in the morning of the 4th and didnt stop till 1 am the next day. I drank hard the following friday and saturday and I am here to say I am quitting. I have given my self the goal of a year. To be free of all alcohol for a year. I am in a rut right now with a job that doesn't pay enough and am somewhat depressed so I don't need to be drinking. You see, for me, the majority of bad decisions that I have made in my life have all been involved with alcohol. I get drunk and my decision making process changes and goes down hill. I am not saying this is what you need to do. But I do recommend you taking a look at how alcohol does affect you and the decisions you make while drunk. I wish that here in the states marijuana was legal and alcohol was illegal. I would take pot over alcohol any day. I can't think of one bad decision that I have made while smoking. I also don't have the hangovers that I do with alcohol. Good luck on what ever you decide. I wish the best for you. And like I said, really look hard at how alcohol affects you cause it has the same affect on all of your relationships.

Seems like a healthy decision. If you don't understand non drinkers and aren't even involved with some you seem to have been living in quite a little circle. Glad to see you're not gonna put other people in danger anymore, drunk driving is a very stupid thing to do. I like to indulge in alcohol and stuff as well from time to time, also came home once and didn't remember exactly how, but always try to limit the possible danger to myself. :)

Hah, mine's much the same, minus the interfering part. I don't want a professional life, never have never will. Fuck that.
personal life, most of my friends do as many if not more drugs than I do! So no interference there.

Wow, that's a huge decision and I'm sure this change you're making will transform you into much happier and healthier person, I just wish you'll make this effort all the way through....[IMG]
I never understood people who over-drink, isn't it better to drink a few beers, have fun with people around while you're just a bit drunk and remember everything in the morning without any headaches or...hm....these events[IMG]?.......

All power to ya mate, cutting down is hard, quitting is even harder (try coming down off a weeklong cocktail of opiates, benzodiazepines, booze, weed and ketamine, withdrawal is a bitch especially from 4 drugs at once).
I think I need to get my shit together a bit, perhaps now is the time to explore the healing power of psychedelics rather than seeking opium obvlivion.

    Only just ;)
I was too cheap to buy loads of opiates and benzos so I just threw some alcohol into the mix. Potentiates it like nobody's business, but damn the hangovers suck.

Hey Chris, may I suggest some sauna and hot tub sessions to help rid your body of accumulated toxins. And of course your new friend can join you for
    um...ah... relaxation.
