So ive had my dreads in for about a week and a half, using the dread head HQ kit. (Bad idea, I know) I had the elastics in for 2-3 days before taking them out and have washed twice so far, trying to get as much of the wax out as possible. About 2 inches at the bottom of some dreads is just straight wax-ridden hair. Heres where my problem comes in: Whenever my hair gets wet the tips look terrible, some have branched out into 2 or so sections, and they all just look bad. On a few dreads i have brushed out the lower wax sections, tried to back-comb as much as i can, and cut off the rest. It worked for a wlittle while but the dreads just began re-forming new wispy tips. What do i do about the tips of my dreads?

I dont have that problem anymore with the wash, I washed it right out. Ive had mine for about 2 and a half weeks now and everytime I wash my dreads get looser and looser. lol. On the weekends when I DJ I just use alot of aloe to slick that frizz back. And it works great. it almost works like hair gel. I had to do a wedding the other night and my hair wasn't looking too fly, especially the tips. So I used a little wax on the tips.....worked great! Of course I washed the wax out the next day.
