I have read from several places that companies occasionaly spray mercury on the seeds to preserve them. Does anyone know if mercury-sprayed seeds would be visibly identifiable? A while back I used some seeds that were grey rather than black. Since then i've been having mental problems. You also must take into account that i also used DXM, weed, and alcohol on the camping trip that i used the grey seeds. I have been struggling with myself trying to figure out whats wrong over the last month since the camping trip. I thought maybe i was just depressed and I was put on anti-depressants, but now im off of them, they didnt seem to do much. The grey seeds were flying saucers and i had never used that kind before so i assumed the different kind had a differently colored seed, then recently i saw some flying saucer seeds that were black.
hmmm, sounds like mercury poisoning (going crazy) but i cant imagine that mercury is used on mgs, even to preserve them. The gray color may be the natural to flying saucers, and most the time the poison they use on the seed is not visual to the naked eye.
Well, as I posted above, i opened up a different flying saucer packet and the seeds were black. What im really asking is if anyone has seen a variety that has grey seeds, or if anyone knows if mercury sprayed seeds would look grey.
I've had black morning glories, although i pulverised them soon after recieving them, they were very black. I recieved no ill effects, just euphoria for a few hours
Yeah dude gray seeds sounds pretty sketch! I don't know what they use on MG seeds but I've heard from various sources that you can wash them and they'll be fine, but personally I've just always bought non-treated ones, and yeah, they were BLACK as night.
fyi it takes like a year or more for mercury to pass out of your system..so it may not be permanet...
yeah. wash untreated seeds and then eat away. just get the dirt from being in the dirt off the seeds and you should be fine eating. i soak mine overnight and by the next morning their fine
