alright, i'm curious about cacti. i'm about to make my second run with a mescaline cactus this summer with some dried peruvian torch on its way in the mail. this i will simply just eat or make into a beverage so as to not lose any important alkaloids. but i'm incredibly interested in learning more about psychoactive cacti less commonly used, whether or not they contain any usable amounts of mescaline. in particular i'm interested in "false peyote" and "living rock" type cacti, such as Ariocarpus fissuratus. also QUITE interested in species in the genus Lophophora that aren't specifically legally banned, such as L. diffusa and L. fricii if anybody has any good information about these plants, please help me out by telling me anything and everything you are able to. the ariocarpus and lophophora in particular are very intriguing to me. specific information i'd be interested in hearing is in regards to appropriate (fully psychedelic but not unsafe, irresponsible or disrespectful) dosing of less widely known cacti, and specifically if there are any vendors that are willing to ship such items to the US affordably. unfortunately i do not live in a climate conducive to growing most cacti, and as such any experimentation i wish to pursue with these fascinating organisms will be costly as i would have to purchase mature specimens. while i'd be interested in trying such substances for the unique and spiritual experiences they may bless me with, i understand it would be quite costly and in all likelihood i will not actually pursue this. however i'd very much like to know more about this topic. there is plenty of info about peyote and peruvian torch, but people seem to forget about other psychoactive cacti and cactus alkaloids.
i dont know, i just got some in the mail today. never tried it before. from what i understand, most people do purge at some point, though. but the experience is enough to make people come back to it multiple times. even pure mescaline tends to make people sick at first, but as i understand it that feeling passes, as with many psychedelics. i've tried san pedro before, but did not eat enough of it to get really good effects. i cannot recall if i threw up, but would not be very surprised.
you should boil the p.t. plant material in water...for about an hour and a half...then take that watery substance (also squeeze the plant material of the juices) and boil it down until it is a gooey substance that doesnt stick to your fingers...it will take a while...but believe you me..its fucking worth all the effort put into it...done this way it cuts the taste factor and nausia way down on the rictor scale.
thanks for the help and all, but theres plenty of information available on different ways to prepare this stuff....i'll figure out how i want to do it, and it may well be along the same lines as what you said, but maybe not. so if anyone has any information on the topic the thread is about, i'd be more than thrilled for you to share it.
