i want to leave school, im going to a therapist tomorrow, ill bring it up, another girl i know is leaving, then three boys have left, its only been three weeks..... this school must really suck
dude, dont drop out. you'll regret it when your 40 and working at the counter at mcdonlads couse you dont have a education. stick with it.
IMO homeschooling kinda sucks. I tried it, but found that lack of social interaction (even the bad stuff) made things much too boring. Homeschooling also lacks others to challenge you opinions, to make you actually THINK. Plus, you actually have to be a motivated focused type of person - otherwise shit just doesn't get done.
i homeschooled for two years, grade 7 and 8. but i didn't really do anything in the way of schooling, a few book reports, worked through a math book etc... and at the time it was great, but that's cuz the school i had been in for the previous two years was horrible, the kids were nasty, the teachers were even worse and i was new to the province. when your homeschooling you have to work to persue a social life, join clubs or classes like dancing or boxing etc.... i am now in my second high school and i hate it for my own reasons, but it's the fastest way to get my diploma, cuz as well as taking classes at high school, i go to night school for 4 hours a night, twice a week. it's hard work but it gets it over alot faster.
that sounds awesome! id love to join art clubs, earth/environment clubs, something with photography and there are lots of classes at the community college! i dont plan to sit around with the tv all day
I am being homeschooled and I know what social interaction i'm missing...ive been home the entire summer so this really doesnt change a thing for me, i am motivated and i'm going to graduate this year instead of next. IMO, you kinda suck. About the homeschooling lacking the the challenging of other peoples opinions...well i come on here or the pro american forums for that.

As you are serious check out resources on homeschooling, always be well informed when making pivotal choices, a couple I've found are... besthomeschooling.org naturalchildproject.org (has articles and links, just need to hunt a bit) And of course google will yeld some good results. I'm just about to start university. So it is too late in the game for me to be homeschooled, probably would have liked it, but appreciate with hindsight my motivation wouldn't have been up for it. I'm just planning ahead for my some day children, never too early to figure it out. Intresting point on socialising, during high school almost all my socialising was done outside of school, for many complex reasons. School was also the only place my brother and I were mercilessly bullied (on and off for many years) So don't think school is some kind of social utopia. That is just a myth put out by TV shows.
Hey - that wasn't cool. I was just offering my experiances, it's true that a lot of people do well with homeschool, I just found classes were more easily absorbed. Yeah, I disliked the mean kids and the restrictions, but I'm used to classes so that now I can go to university and learn cool things with people who WANT to learn. I assume you are forgoing that experiance, because if you had any reasonable social skills, you'd accept and consider others opinions before putting them down.

i stayed home from school again today, i went yesterday and i realized i would not be able to make it through the day today
Soul, Sorry to have reacted like that, my day was NOT going well. I realize I should learn to take a joke better, but as my psychiatrist says, I'm "overly sensitive. As for being unable to go to school, trust me I understand. Is it social? It was for me. And it hurt like a bitch to be ignored, and depressed me to hell for having to go home because of anxiety attacks. Is your school semesterized? Cause you could homeschool and take a semester off to chill and do some self-exploration.
solar, anxiety attacks are awful, i hate them more than anything.. luckily i dont get them that often it is semesterized, i would love to do that but my parents dont see it my way
hey school does suck, well at least mine does. they might makes us all get clear back packs...you know "for our safety". F THAT!
That is a bit screwed up, my school is safety crazy too... it's messed up. They need to chill out a bit.
