I'm almost ready to pull out the plant. I can't dry it outside, because of my nosy niehgbors. A friend told me to put it in the oven on low heat, but thats too risky. Any ideas? thanks, Bryan
you can microwave it but it takes away from the flavour, the oven is your best bet, put it on like 75 degrees. Let it sit there for about 5 minutes
thanks, but are you sure there is NO other alternative to the oven? That doesn't take away from the potency?
if i was you i wouldnt microwave it..i think it takes the potency out..but i guess if you have no where else to dry it at then you might have too
wait... could I just, take my heat lights and use them to dry? The last thing I want is wasted potency. but I guess if it was to be done.. Thanks for the help
First, don't microwave it, i've heard horrible stories about terrible tasting weed and lowered potency. Wait it out. The oven is a last resort, I'd think. Why don't you just dry it in your garage or basement or something? Are you in some huge rush, enough that rather than doing things right, you'd rather do them fast and ruin or degrade your dope? I'm not a grower; I've read a few guides but don't really know what to tell you. Why don't you check a guide out, the sections on curing and all that. Don't ruin a summer's worth of work and waiting with impatience. Good luck
STOP! DO NOT USE LIGHTS OR HEAT!!!!!!!!! Dry the plant in a warm dark place. It will dry in a few days. the longer it takes, to a point, the better. Watch for mold. If it's crispy dry in a couple of days, you can cure it or smoke it if your impatient. OR Sweat cure it. Stuff it in glass jars, tighten the lids, and place them in the sun for several hours. The jars will fill with water and the green will begin to turn brown or some other color. drain, remove lid and let the sun dry it out. The first way, with a proper cure is better, but a sweat cure is the best quick way. Depeding how much is in a jar, it takes from hours to days. It's what was done during the 2 weeks we were without power and all the indoor plants died.
