You people who all complain and make the huge umbrella statement of "Liquor is disgusting" have no idea..

now, i will understand whatever, you may in your eating habits etc. not want to legitly drink alchohol and i accept that and am not pointing this at those ppl

it's you people are are 15-18 who post up that you drank until you blacked out twice, and now you "hate liquor"

Liquor is more widely used than pot

Liquor im posative is up there with smoking [or even more?]

people do it, people enjoy it, most likely you will eventually try it and grow into drinking it wether it be a glass of wine at dinner, or continuing to drink until blackout

everything is fine in moderation, and imo weed [yes bla bla bla i dont want to hear your facts this is my opinion] is more harmfull to i dunno...affecting being "on the ball" [best way to describe it, meh] than casually drinking

people should have more respect for the drugs they put in their body. if alcohol is your drug of choice, no beef, but it's never a good thing when young kids are drinking and smoking the pipe. i mean, i started smoking at 14 and nobody should do that, but kids should think twice before putting stuff in their body when they can't physically handle it. ive seen some stupid shit on this forum. and i just want to say, dude, grow some pubes and let your voice drop before you start drinking and smoking shit.

drink isnt discusting, its just when people dont know theyre boundaries, or once theyre happily buzzed and relaxed keep swigging down theyre sick and have hangovers and stupid shit. its theyre fault, no one made them drink it, its not what it is- but how u use it

I agree with Digital on this one.
I like liquor and I have almost blacked out from excessive amounts of it. Though I did learn a lesson from that...(parties with a free bar are all well and good until your so drunk to realize that you told the bar guy to make it most vodka and a little bit of coke).

But yeah, it annoys me as well when people throw up from drinking once then are like "aaaah I'm never drinking again" then you see them 2 nights later and they are so wasted they dont know where they are.
I have learned that even if I have a rough night I will end up drinking again so there is no point in telling people I'm not going to.

(why did I post this? Its just a load of rambling. meh)

I'll probably always drink, but I still think booze is way worse than pot. I get the impression that you think alcohol isn't as bad as pot because your peer group has probably been more negatively affected by marijuana; I make this assumption because you're 21 and most people don't fuck their lives up with alcohol until they're older, but the negative habitual effects of marijuana are more "instant." I've met people who've tried pot for the first time and have turned into lethargic pieces of shit after about a month, but it seems like most of the people who wander the streets talking to themselves while they smell like urine and listerine are alcoholics and not so much addicted to pot.

Sorry dj, but i just disagree. Alcohol is just bad for you. Honestly, put the medical research aside and think- when you drink alcohol you literally GAG because your body is attempting to reject the garbage. It's just trash. The "buzz" from alcohol is not good enough to justify the damage done. In the end, if you're health conscious at all, you will certainly limit or end your alcohol consumption. Do research. I know im kind of biased because i'm really into health and all that, but honestly alcohol is not good for your body, mind or spirit. Drinking turns your mind off, weed turns it on. You just can't deny this.

I don't like drinking because i don't like the taste of alcohol. I mean it's plain and simple. If I'm ignorant then whatever.

I guess if there was like hunch punch/jungle juice at a party that had almost no alcohol taste to it then i would drink some, but besides that no way.

Oh, and pot is more physically dangerous than alchohol? That's funny. I've never heard of marijuana poisoning.

I agree, especially on the fact that sometimes MJ can be more harmful then alcohol.
ex: 1 joint a day would be way worse then 1 glass of wine a day imo.

Undercooked explained my point, as liquor hasnt had the time to develop into any long term problems for anyone in my peer group yet, i've seen idiots drink and be fine afterwards, continue to live their lives normally

then i've seen kids who started "late" into pot later into their highschool and college careers, and they couldnt handle it, u like getting stoned so much they stop doing what they used to be good at [school work, sports etc.] and just fall into a steteotypical pothead role and it effects them drasttically

of course, even the same could definatly be said about liquor and people who never partied in highschool and their early years, then once they become legal they go nuts and ruin their lives as well.

Your right, your post is ignorant

what exactly is the taste of alchohol? were u drinking straight pure alcohol [ie. iso], gasoline?

"alchohol" doesnt have a taste and it's impossible to drink pure alcohol, so how can u say u hate all alchohol's taste when I doubt you've tried a tiny percentage of varrying types?

and of course u cant get "marijuana poisoning" but it will effect you in other ways alchohol will not, rarely will drinking a 6 pack result in total unproductivity for entire days or even weeks on end, for unexperianced smokers who grab onto MJ like it's the greatest thing since sliced bread, it can have wayyy worse effects short and long term then drinking at a young age.

    Yes

as well, it's been recently proved that having a beer a day as well can be beneficial to health, although definatly not widely researched and accepted as the glass of wine

thats what i thought. i don't drink, personally because i'm afraid to try new things. you would have cracked up if you were there the first day i smoked pot. haha

but i am definately not against it and once i have a few drinks and know my limits i most likely will drink more after that

a glass or two a day isn't gonna hurt you, your body won't reject it

but i'm sure your body will reject it if you are drinking 15 beers a day or chugging vodka so often that you're puking and developing cirrhosis or whatever of the liver then its bad, but if you chose to do that you do it to yourself, the alcohol didn't make you drink more and more

I shoot anyone who says they're never drinking again... you know, it's doing the faggots a favor. Once they're dead they definitely won't drink again and I won't have to hear them next weekend going "Urrgh I know I said it before but Im NEVER drinking again!" Man those people piss me right off.

Drinking is great, even though it's way worse for you than smoking weed. I've blacked out before and the next thing I remembered after blacking out was pouring another drink. That said, I think some people legitimately can't drink worth a shit and so it's not a big surprise that they don't like it.
