Anyone gone or going to Temple U? I went on a tour recently and it seems like a great school with a lot of opportunities to learn and experience different things. However like everyone says, I walked about 1 mile off campus and it got pretty shady and dirty pretty fast. I know theres a ton of crime in North Philly (all Philly for that matter) but does it really affect the college life for kids chillin at Temple?
I havent gone to college, but I know LOT'S of kids who go/went to Temple. Great school for sure, no doubt there. And dont worry about the Area, I used to buy trees off of the 10th & Diamond block as a teenager, and used to be down by 5th & Girard a lot. Seriously, its not that bad. That's not NORTH North Philly, lol And i was previously living in South Philly, now THAT shit is nuts. You'll be ok, dont worry, dont look people in the eyes, and mind your own business and you be fine Good luck and congrats on the schooling~ Om Shanti
Hey man, Appreciate the response dude. Yeah it's definitely a badass college, I just don't want to have to stay in my room at night cause theres shootings or robberies close by and shit ya know?
I go to Temple university. it's seriously not that bad. I used to lived on 16th and cecil b. moore st. there are a lot of heady people at Temple. I'm going to be a senior this year. If you have any questions about the school, then feel free to ask me.
I might be going there after DCCC. My cousin went there and did a little too much partying and she dropped out. I hope I don't do that in any college.
lol there are a lot of parties at Temple, but they are mostly frat/socority parties. You go to DCCC? My boyfriend Spooky goes there. I went to BCCC before I transfered to Temple. Check to see if DCCC has a transfer agreement with Temple because BCCC did and I was able to transfer all of my course in and I got a scholarship. The only downfall of Temple is that I sware they recruit all of their admissions crew from the ghetto because they fuck everything up. Make sure you keep a copy of ALL forms. I suppose stuff like this happens at all large universities.
