The Sugar Ridge Folks of *N.W.O.R.F are having a trade circle & potluck on Labor Day in Van Wert at Heiston Woods Park. The trade circle will include local artist, hand-burnt beads, hemp jewery, crystals, hand-crafted walking sticks, and other items. A trade circle is a circle of blankets with items for trade. Anyone can bring their own items, blanket, and/or table to barter, the barter system is encourage. Hand-crafted items, art, native pieces, hemp, tye-dye, patchwork, music (bootlegs, live recordings, any media), and whatever you think like-minded folks would enjoy. A potluck is simply a meal that everyone brings a dish. There will be meat at the potluck althou, vegitarian and vagen dishes will be welcomed. There are several grills at the park. We also encourage you to bring your own cup, bowl, and silverware. Acustic intruments, drums, fun games, and smiles are also encouraged. Please,... no alcohol or attitudes. The Sugar Ridge Folks are just like minded folks that get together from NW Ohio. In the past we have had several music festivals, camp-outs, potlucks, and many parties (tye-dying, candle and soap making, bio-degradable pipe making, ect). There is no membership and no fees, Sugar Ridge discourages both. There are no leaders just some folks with some ideas. All that you need to attend is a belly-button. Heiston Woods Park is located in Van Wert, Ohio on St. Route 116. It is a ½ mile East of the Van Wert County Hospital. The park has many marked trail throw the woods, two city resivors, two children playgrounds, and porta johns. The Van Wert County Fair will also be in progess on the 3rd. Directions: From U.S. 30 comimg from the east Get off on the first Van Wert exit at Lincon Hwy. Take this west into town and turn on to U.S.127. Go south and turn on St. Route 116. It will be on the southside a ½ mile. From U.S. 30 coming from the west Get off on U.S.224 and turn east on Van Wert- Decature Road. Take it east nto town and turn on to U.S.127. Go south and turn on St. Route 116. It will be on the southside a ½ mile. Notice: U.S. 127 from U.S. 30 to Main St. is under construction. From U.S. 33 take U.S. 127 north and turn east at the county hospital on St. Route 116. It will be on the southside a ½ mile.
