If i make dreads of my 8 cm short hair and use rubber bands on the ends. Then change them after 2 weeks.

    Wont that be good?.

So my short dreads wont fall out?.

"have not yet maked dreads" waiting for more info in the "Want Dreads" thread.

I've kept rubber bands on the tips of my hair for a month and a half thinking the same thing. As soon as I took them off a week later 2 inches (about 5cm) of locks from the tip in went straight. but... _But_ the dreads themselves became a lot tighter in that week then they did almost all the time the bands were on.

what I'm _guessing_ happened is that the locks are knots. So when you think of tightening a knot the string(hair) that was part of the knot becomes part of the slack. so to tighten the locks there had to be slack and the elastics weren't giving any.

Maybe, I dunno. but your hair is too short anyway.
you need minimum 4 more months. 1 month = 1/2 inch.

edit: forgot to mention only 2 inches came out. for the last month the amount of 'undreaded' hair is been the same size.
