Recently my Sally plant lost all of it's larger leaves - the strange thing is that it's also shooting out at least a dozen new chutes and baby leaves. I assume that as long as new things are growing and not blackening with dehydration, I shouldn't be worried, but personally I think I might need to get a planter with a little more root room. This is where I need your help: I live in New England so I wanted to keep the plant in a sealed and humid environment. I know it'll adjust to my area but I want it to grow to a much larger and more stable plant before I have it adjust and humidity makes it grow alot faster, anyway. My best idea so far is to use a sealable plastic trash can or storage tub and build in a plantlight. What dimensions of a container do you think I should use to get the best results for Sally, here? Thanks in advance. ~ Shadix
Don't go transplanting the little fella just yet, sounds very like a nitrogen deficiency SA, plants when deprived of suficient nitrogen will starve the older leaves to feed to newer ones. What type of plant food are you using?
Miracle grow. The soil came with MG in it and lasts for another month and a half. Other than that I mist the leaves daily and the dirt in the pot seems to stay extremely moist on it's own.
{embarassed face} I...uh...BUMP... Yeah...I'm pretty lost as to when to transplant then...plus when, apparently.
