Barefoot vs. flipflops when driving

I'm surprized so many find it difficult or unsafe to drive in barefeet. I find I have MORE control.

 

Barefoot, absolutely. Barefoot is what I am most of the spring and summer anyway, the heck with shoes, I want to feel the Earth beneath my feet!

And flip flops? No thankyou, I don't like those at all.

 

we have a law here that you have to have footwear when driving.

So I always wear footwear.

I would not be comfy in bare feet driving.....I do barefoot all over, but not driving.

 

those are BS laws...if i ever got a ticket for driving barefoot, i'd be fighting it

actually, i'd fight any ticket i would get
but i've never been pulled over yet, so meh...people should be better drivers

 

and whats wrong with flip flops people

 

fight it and here in Ontario you would not win as you can not drive barefoot?????????

Why does it matter if it's stick or auto? I drive barefoot all the time in my manual car.

 

i like driving in barefeet (i had to drive home like that last night cause i lost my flip flops at my friends house) or just didn't feel like putting them on when i left or something haha

after school when i'd drive my friends home i would take off my shoes and drive barefoot and they would laugh at me cause i am short, and my big toe would be the only thing touching the pedals lol

i think i would rather drive with shoes on, though

 

i'm talking about the states

i just wouldn't pay any ticket i get in canada if i got one

 

It feels really wierd to me driving barefoot. My wife does it all the time...........

I do it all the time.

 

I never wear shoes when driving. I tried once and I was wearing 4" heels and had a hell of a time.

 

I love flip flips, but driving in them scares me... I prefer to go barefoot... my luck one would fall off or something and I'd reck... haha

I drive barefoot and do just about everything else barefoot.

Just don't leave your shoes near the pedals. They can get stuck between the brake and floor and then you can't stop. And if you ever get pulled over, don't make a fuss trying to put your shoes back on. They'll think you're hiding a weapon or something else.

I only wear one shoe. My left foot is up on the dashboard like up by the mirror. Did that make sense? I wear my flipflop or whatever shoe it is that I am wearing on the right though. Anytime of year though I don't wear the left shoe for extended drives. Like today I am driving for 2.5 hours and I won't wear my one sandal haha I'll look like a slut because I'm wearing a skirt and my leg will be up on the dashboard.... but eh I'm the only one in my car.

 

I drive barefoot when I can. But my truck is standard, and having to push on the clutch barefoot can be annoying somtimes. I usually drive in boots or shoes, but if I could go anywhere I wanted and walk in barefoot, that would be my choice.
