hahah, k little disclaimer: i'm not trying to be arrogant or further my ego, look down upon people, hate, discriminate, yadadada. oh..and not [intentionally] a plug for my website. K, ever since me and my buddies formed the idea and made it come to life: http://www.spittin-knowledge.com we've kind of developed..i dont know how to describe it, guidlines or a border line RELIGION as to how to live life on certain levels and aspects of our lives it stretches from things simply like living by a motto of "always go big" ie. tipping at a resturant almost every time at 20-25% getting into sports etc. and buying the BEST gear possible, only the best will do or you will be happy with, ie. 3 of us wanted to get into paintballing after only playing a combined 6-7 times and each buy guns in the 1500's planning on going to eat chip chicken wings, instead of ordering 1-2 pitchers of beer, we end up ordering 10 and buy the waitresses rounds of drinks go to a Canucks hockey game or other sports events and buy 8+ beers each at 7.50$ a pop Then from there it goes into attitude and understanding, our whole group is so rugged/raw in terms of things we say to eachother and think nothing of it like it was any sort of normal conversation making jokes about dead people, ripping into the meanest things possible, talking the grossest/most disfunctional situations possible, swearing at uncontrollable levels, yet always maintaining a sense of respect for others around us in the presence, never to be disrespectfull to others directly It's come to the point where even when i'm by myself or amongst people who do not know of "SK" I still think in my head the "way" i should act to represent our group, and it's a good way to live LOL! a future cult? future religion? only time will tell... SK fuck..this is what happens when you smoke pcp
Haha, sounds cool, but "going big" and having the best of everything won't buy you real happiness. Maybe its just me, but it seems like your trying too hard. To me, it seems like you feel the need to put on a facade of this "big time" persona to impress people.
You and your friends sound like you have good intentions, but simultaneously, you come off as really superficial. Anyway, the whole point of guidelines is to stop people from just doing what they want, and you give me a really clique-y impression.
it's not about happiness or impressing people though, thats what i was trying to get across, it's more about personal satisfaction then anything amongst ourselves we have an understanding on the way things should or shouldnt be done, it's not at any point to really impress or effect people who arent in the group, it's just for ourselves
yea I'm with darkain. That lifestyle works for you though. For me it wouldn't go at all. I'm not about some money or going big or anything. I'm content with small ass portions, small ass bank account, shitty/stolen clothes, cheap weed, etc. That is sorta like the big anarchy pushers nowadays who want an overthrow. Sure it would be great for them, but loads of people love being sheep. What works for some doesn't for others.
You say you want to 'go big' but confine yourselves to the limitations of dollar amounts to describe it? So sorry to hear that...
uhg.. i knew it would degenerate to this..I was ripped at the time when I wrote it it was never suppose to come off that way, it's an overall attitude towards things, maybe if i added "do any of you do anything similar?" there wouldnt be negative comments how else would u want me to say we go big? Donate all my money to Unicef? even though we spend alot of money on stupid shit, in the last couple years i guarantee I've donated more money then the majority of the people here towards charities and other good causes, hell i donated 600$ to Canuck place this year which is a home for critcally and terminally Ill children which is run and operated by the Vancouver canucks, even though I may be arrogant etc. I'm sure thats a hell of alot more most of you people have EVER done, and for the last 5 years i've done it on a regular basis and more.
Altruism does not inherently equate to making a difference for the better. But, in all fairness - or unfairness? - 'better' has become fairly ambiguous as the result of the Versailles-esque Court Etiquette that politicians and CEO's (i.e. future politicians) have erected in response to being born into wealth with little to no intelligence to validate that fact. Throwing money at problems isn't usually much more than an attractively stupid course of action in response to the void of such. But I guess rainbow-striped shit is better than the brown variety, eh? At any rate, this world is dying for a Western collapse, so knock yourself out: feel great and look great while doing virtually nothing to turn current problems into future solutions .
Then that is just shallow if you ask me. If you need to "go big" to be satisfied, I think you're kinda lost man. Thats not what lifes about, and it may make you happy, but all that says to me is you haven't found what it truly means to be happy. Meh, to each his own I guess. I'm not trying to bash... I just didnt think you were that kind of person.
that sounds pretty cool but thats not the life for me i'd rather save up my money for something truly important
like acid! thats what i do. save up a couple hundred a month, buy a bunch of acid, sell it, the do it all over again. its what keeps me happy.
