It doesn't matter if you give or take
we all seek one of two things in this world
from the moment we are awake,
until the day our souls are still young
but death can no longer wait.

oh tell me ,
is it wealth and power,
or happiness and pleasure, until the hour?
is it the soothing sound of serenity
or the skewed road to divinty?

I [size=-1]journeyed[/size] for years and decades
forests , seas, rivers...
deserts, mountains, and winds..that make you shiver.
I came to the conclusion
it was no revelation, nothing but a simple resolution

A god is what you seek, and what you desire.
To be a god of your own domain,
and let your surroundings become mundane..
A god is what you seek, what you desire
To be a god of this earth,
put it to peace, or set it on fire.

My time has come, and i have one thing left to say
you will never be a god either way
it is the pursuit that makes the difference
whether to this world or to your own existence.

That's really a good work ... it speaks to me because of its clarity and weariness. It's an empowering poem ... it says that we have the power to choose for ourselves, even as we are driven down by the poor choices of others.

 

very true, very true this poem is, but yet as you take a look at the world around us, is it not a God that some country is trying to become?

The way I see it is that everyone wants to become a god in his/her own way whether its for bad or good, for self interests or for the common good
