Marijuana and my life.

It's funny, i've been smoking for 2 years, but it seems weird. All my friends toke at home and they keep there stash of bud and pipes at their respective houses, and get high alone by theirselves sometimes, but this is were it is funny.

I've never really done all that.
My friends parents don't mind if they toke at their house(s), but my parents (Dad in particular) are anti-drug.

My friends keep bud and pipes at their house(s), but I've never really done this at all. I kept bud twice mabey three times at my house (a couple of days each time) in my whole 2 year toking time so far.

My friends get high alone by theirselves sometimes, yeah they got their own bud so they can do with it what they want, but the funny part is that I have never gotten high alone by myself ever.

Is this diferrent?

I throw in my share of money for sacks, and when I get my sack I toke it all and I mean all of it with my friends. Most of the time my quarter sack is gone in a matter of a couple of hours after I get it.

I just feel almost like an imposter or poser if you will because of this, but I have been smoking for 2 years, and I smoke pretty much every day. I love the smell, the look, the taste, and the feel of bud.

So do y'all think I'm an imposter/poser, or just not selfish?

naw dude,sharin your bud does not make you a poser or anything at all. Most people will remember the kindness and try to get you back sometime, watch out for leaches that just want to smoke your weed. I smoke at my house sometimes by myself, not really b/c i prefer it,i just feel like tokin up. If someone was there smokin with me thats cool, it wouldnt really make a dif to me,but i do prefer smoking with other people, get some stories goin and stuff.

 

What's there to be a "poser" about in smoking pot? Pot smoking is what it is, pot smoking. You either do it or you don't.

i would say that smoking like that - always with other people and never by yourself - would align more with the real "culture" of smoking weed. it´s a very communal activity and it´s great to share it with other people. especially with the good intention of not caring about letting other people smoke with you.

but then again, there´s nothing wrong with having a little stash for yourself so you wouldnt need to depend on smoking with other people. i´ve found many times through the years of smoking that occasionally people just arent around to smoke with you. and weed certainly isnt going to smoke itself!

Yeah, I wouldn't worry about it. What you're saying is akin to someone wondering, "Am I a McDonald's poser, because I've never eaten there by myself? All my friends have gone there, through the drive thru, and taken their value meals home and eaten them alone, but whenever I go to McDonald's, it's always with other people." The burgers or the pot are equally real and valid, alone or in the presence of others!

How you go about life, including how, when and if you choose to smoke, is your own business. So long as you don't cause anyone (including yourself) harm, that's it.

Wow, I didn't think I'd end up saying something quite that profound. I probably need to go smoke a bowl and mellow out...

 

Now i wouldn't say that mcdonald's burgers are necessarily "valid".

 

yes i agree. you can't really "pretend" your smoking pot. i'm not really sure how one can be a poser with marijuana.

 

haha man this is nothing to worry about. that defenitely doesnt make you a poser because your still smoking..just not alone. i like getting high alone sometimes. its a nice way just to relax and you can do anything you want, not what the whole group wants. if you dont feel like smoking by yourself than dont. smoking bud with friends is very fun too

 

On nice sunny days i like to toke and go outside and appreciate nature, and just walk aournd my backyard and admire the greenness of it, i just never smoke alone when it is raining out becuase it is boring, getting high by myself also give me the chance to know my slef more and open up to other religions, last time i got baked alone i looked at buddhism and i cant stop reading about it.
