Safetypin : Wont argue with you, as one of us may fall into the category of NUTZ. Cant be me, the voices in head tell me I'm normal and to kill anybody who says different.
I "can" fancy that Grim, but I don't think I can fancy an American doctor being a dissident. In Russia, (a doctor?) maybe, but not in America. But dissident or not I can envision a line of communication opening up between myself and a doctor. It is extremely difficult to envision but it could be done.
I've never put a link in a post or an e-mail from my present ISP, (it was easy on AOL), but my Dummy book explains how to do it, so I know I can figure it out. When I get around to it I'll put a link to a site that discusses Russian dissidents. I'm not sure if the site mentions Russians who were in mental hospitals per se, (I think it does) but I'm sure it talks about dissidents who were in forced labor camps. I'd like to hear what the doctor has to say about that. If you don't want to wait around for my lazy ass to put the link in, you might just try googling "dissidents." I'm fairly sure that's how I got to the site, and you might also find some other stuff about dissidents that "you" would like to know.
Didn't have how to do it in my Dummy book afterall, so I'm just going to try the old stand by, copy and past. Hope it works. http://gulaghistory.org/exhibits/nps/onlineexhibit/dissidents/
Well, there's just so much wrong with this that it's kinda of adorable. Like when you watch a baby animal trying to walk and it keeps falling. I'm not a doctor - don't let the trendy cane fool you. I don't think I've ever referred to myself as a doctor, nor has anyone else. Except that one time when I was called the Doctor of Thuganomics, because I am a hardcore gangster, yo. So let's try this again.
And by the way Grim, don't think that there aren't a whole hell of a lot of people who don't think there is somthing "wrong" with dissidents. In Russia they didn't put dissidents in forced labor camps because they thought they were right. If it takes trying to walk like a baby animal and falling down, and people like you thinking it's "adorable," well, at least that's some place to start.
Crazy Horse I've been pondering your question for several days now, and I really can't answer it, it's just something I've always accepted without even questioning it. I guess society isn't all bad, there have to be some good points about it, so if you can discover it's plusses, you might employ them to change the ugly parts, or to make the good points better. Even the use of force is an option, and although it's not up my alley, it is part of being human.
Alaskan, Your previous post to this thread was not only insulting, it was ignorent, just what I would expect from a doctor who showed his true colors. Dissidents through out the world have always been subjected to forced incarceration in mental hospitals, prisons, prison camps and forced labor. A dissident is someone who because of their beliefs is considered crazy or even a criminal by the society in which they live. In fact they are only trying to share their beliefs with the societies in which they live because they hope that those beliefs are better than the existing ones and will therefore benefit their society. At some point the societies in which they live recognize, accept and adopt their beliefs and realize that the individuals who professed them in the first place were not crazy or criminal as they had originally thought, but people who had a vision for their own society that really was better than the existing one, but the existing society was not ready to accept it. So to answer your question, No, I am not looking for crazy dissidents. There is no such thing. Dissidents are not crazy, but you can not be a dissident without once having been thought of to be crazy by the society in which you live or lived. I still don't think any doctor of any kind anywhere on earth could qualify to be a dissident and certainly you couldn't because you don't even have any idea what a dissident is. Is this a joke to you? Fuck you doc.!
