Any light tea with lots of fresh lemon or lime juice works great. Even hot water and lemon juice works. Good luck.
Hope you feel better~ Some remedies I've found that work are gargling with warm water and salt, sipping on a cup of hot water with a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar and a tablespoon of honey. Try a Neti Douche as well.
get some fresh ginger from the supermarket. grate it up. throw about a tea spoon of it into a small strainer/ similar and let it sit in a cup of boiled water, to make some ginger tea. wait 5 minutes and remove it from water. don't bother adding honey to it but you can if you want. let it cool a bit and let it sit on the back of your throat where its sore, its potent stuff and will give the germs what for.
