i live in a small flat in the roof of a lage building. there is a high crime rate in the area and the police helicopters and unmanned drones frequent the skies above my flat. i know they have have heat seeking cameras but can they see in?
also can i build a cabinnet (sizes?) big enough for 1 light to grow one plant.
i am a complete beginner to growning and just want to cut out the middle man and produce my own smoke. any advice would be gratefully recieved.

Of course you can build a cabinet to grow a couple of plants in - just be careful not to cut your fingers off because you will need them to hold your home grown doobies. I suggest you use florescent tube grow bulbs (wide spectrum) They are cooler safer and cheaper to operate then other grow bulbs. Anyway cheers good luck and don’t be telling your buddies that you are growing pot because you will probably get ripped off.

dont worry man. im a whizz with a hammer and chissel. i was going to build a wooden frame with fire proof plaster boards, covered in a reflective sheeting of some kind. i was hoping it to big enough to house a fan and simple watering system too. any gaps where cables would be coming out could be plugged simply with plastercene.

    is this a good plan???

No, they just spot sections of walls, or roofs, that are warmer than other sections around them. They are not X-ray, they can't see through anything!

Go to an ikea, or a store like it, and find a wardrobe cabinate. Somewhere in the range of 2ft by 4 ft with 6 ft of headroom is ideal (sorry, us americans are dumb and still use feet).

A 400w light is idea for that space, and you will be able to fit 6, maybe 8 flowering plants. Buy weatherstripping and make the doors light-proof, no even a small beam on light can pass through the seems.

You will need intake holes on the bottom, so air can be sucked in. Make sure that light can't get in though these, dark room louvres would very well for this. Up top you will need an extraction fan to pull all the heat from the bulb out and also move air in the cab around.

Different fans will have a "CFM" rating, that stands for Cubic feet per minute. Odds are it's different for you. Basicly you want to replace the air in the cab 2-3 times pper minute. So if the cab is 2ftx4ftx6ft, thats 48 cubic feet, so you'll want a fan that moves atleast 100 cfm, more like 120-150 is better.

When you buy your light also get an air cooled hood. This cab is small so it will get hot fast. With these hoods the fan is attached to the reflector, so the hot air is sucked straight out cooling the cab quicker, better, and more.

Finally, before the hot air it exhausted, it's going to need to pass through a carbon filter. This contains activated carbon, which will mask any smells, and trust me the plants will reek. If you don't use a filter, and you're in an apartment, then it's only a matter of time before you're in jail.

Finally, spend some money on seeds, don't fuck with bagseed when you can have world class seeds for $25+. Try seedbay or seedboutique, they are right in the UK so you should have your beans the day after they get your money.

If you do your shit right, drop a little dough, read up and learn, and have some patience, then you're gonna have it made. My setup is very simialy to this one, and I average 6-7 zips per harvest of bombness. Your first grow odds are you will fuck up a little (we all do), but expect AT LEAST a QP if you keep them alive. Enjoy never having to wait around for a sack like a sucker ever again.

Alright I figured that I just typed all that, so why not add some more.

Your first grow I'd recomend just growing in soil. It's easier, and cheaper. You're already gonna have enough to learn, the simpler the better. Buy a good organic mix (I use fox farm ocean forest), or go to the local plant nursary and get a soil mix designed for tomatos. Ganja and tomatos grow very similar. You will also need nutes for veg, and nutes for flower, but with a good soil the plants should have enough to eat for atleast their first month of life.

You're choice bro, but that price for the budbox is waaaaay high for a simple cab.

as i say im a complete novice and if you think theyre over priced then cheers for the advice.

ill follow your advice at the end of the month and build or maybe buy an old wardrobe and follow your advise above.
have you seen or used any of the wilma systems? should i still pay for a professional "ish" lighting and feed system??
i dont want a huge farm or anything but i want to try and get some super strong buds. is it still possible to grow really strong stuff with a set up like this?
    cheers

My fault, I kinda assumed that the budbox was an entire premade system, I've seen those online for $2000 usd and up. Something like this:
    http://www.homegrown-hydroponics.com/
I just took the time to look up what it was, and yeah those are actually pretty nice, doesn't seem all that overpriced at all.

A small setup like this and grown some damn fine herb.

have really gotta get set up soon. i cant take these tiny expensive bags every time. weeds somthin my soul needs each day if you know what i mean? and i hate giving these people my hard earned wedge! plus the hassell of scoring.

but ive made a decision. i want to have at least halve the money for my set up by the end of the month and be up and running by the start of september if not before.
