..... If they know who Robert Johnson is only 2 people I know , know who he is. If you don't know, please, ask. I would love to inform you
anyway, i only know who he was because my mom and dad were huge blues fans, thereby making me a huge blues fan.
NumberNineDream: the musican and To Fitzy21: Robert Johnson was a blues artist back in the day. He was good one too. He was most famous because of his legend. Story has it, that he sold his soul to the devil to be a famous Blues player. Alot of his songs have ocult refernces in them. Such as the song "Cross Road Blues". Cross Roads are where deals are made. There for, this song would tie back up with his legend. The song "Hellhound on my trail" is also tied back to the legend, because in deals with devils you were 'supposed' to have your life taken by a black hellhound that would kill you and crap like that. Robert Johnson legend....
Yeah...awesome early blues artist. Sold his soul, got poisoned and started the 27 Club. Crossroads is a shitty movie.I'll buy Ralph Macchio as Karate Kid but not a friggin' bluesman.
i'm listening to Crossroad blues right now, if you listen to the lyrics, it drags you in ,same thing with the tune
Oh... you mean the guy Led Zeppelin and Eric Clapton got rich ripping off? Yeah I have several of his recordings.
I don't really listen to him. I just knew who he was because my friend's grandmother plays his music all the time. It's alright, I suppose.
I love his music. It makes me feel so.... i can't explain it. It just makes me really happy and wanting to dance and sing and play spoons lol I love his music
How did they rip him off? More like showing respect. I listen to Cream and Zeppelin alot...Not all of their songs are blues...Not even half.
^ i agree with you. Not a lot of Zeppelin songs are blues and also none of them have ocult references , so they haven't ripped off of Johnson
