Macedonia is cleaner than Serbia, where people drop all their garbage on The Road of Death. Greece is even cleaner than Macedonia, though...
Please can you explain ,,niglicable" ? I don´t know this word. So, it isn´t problem with leaving bigger cities ? In Italy there are tunnels, if you don´t use a transport, you´re like in prison. So you have got a good time ! Lucky one, I want to travel in July, so I must sit in front of PC and write ´works´ to school. Skopje is also beautiful city Man, I´m really enjoying !!
wolf, I don´t know how dirty is Serbia, but what about dirt in Italy ? Gorgeous Roma, but smell of water found me next to Panteón, like in railway station in my city, where the homeless lives. There are countries which are still cleaner, but know their people also that, how to recycle garbage which droped to the baskets ?
Yeah, I spelled the word badly However, I wanted to say the price is very small I'm glad you say Skopje is beautiful!!! I usually compare it to other capitals and feel very bad later... So, walk on and see my beautiful Skopje
Ive been to Greek Macedonia. Except it aint Macedonia ( scratches head). Can someone explain that one to me? : )
Well, Ressotaspiks Man that's why on the NATO meetings delegates ain't gonna use the name of their country but the flag... Greeks say that Macedonia as a different country does not exist. Why? Because there was a war, in which Macedonia (Antic Macedonia, on which I live now) was devided - Greeks took a big piece of its area and made it a part of Greece. Now they call that part MACEDONIA and they call my country FYRO Macedonia. FYRO comes from Former Yugoslav Republic Of, sounds bad doesn't it? The name issue is a great problem these years, so I have one thing to say - don't you FYROM me!!!
Watermellowny, why did you feel bad ? I saw pics in the web, I know sometimes it means nothing, but I believe that Skopje is that beautiful like in the website. About Greeks opinion....did you see the film My Big Fat Greek Wedding ? ,,Everything came from Greek"...ha,ha Like in this movie. But make your mind easy. There was also NATO meeting when Mr. Bush spoak for a long time about great economic in Slovakia and he mentioned capital city Ljubljana. Lot of people change Slovakia with Slovenia, also like a lot of people didn´t want to accept dividing of Czechoslovakia.
Zlaten Dab is better than Skopsko IMO. I think they make that beer in Prilep. And it is not BEAR, but BEER (Make sure you try our bear "Skopsko") Bears are in the forest, between Ohrid and Gostivar
Georgi, and how is the beer in US ? Is there big deferences like between ,,european an american" coffee ?
I personally do not like the U.S. beer. It is quite different than the european. But here I buy Heineken (my all time favourite) and the czech Pilsen, which is excellent. Only the price $2.30 is too mmuch for 700 ml bottle of beer.
Well, Pilsen is more expensive also for native, but it´s really tasty. You know. Heineken is gooooood :beatnik2:
Georgy, Skopsko is stronger than Zlaten Dab - therefore it is better Yeah, you got me about the "bear" thing...but people make mistakes when typing so whatch out - I'll read all your posts and find one!!! Nirali, I knew Bush was special!!! Now, he made you feel like home when you go to Ljubljana Hahaha he really is a brainiac Talking 'bout the BEERS in the Balkan, what about Kamenitza? Touborg?
Nirali I think you'll find this usefull. http://www.exploringmacedonia.com/?ItemID=855223EE66F0A84FA6DDF451D31F5E45
Stronger doesn't necessary mean that the beer is better. It depends - some people like stronger beers some softer. When I was in Ohrid I prefered Zlaten Dab than Skopsko. Kamenitza is the second popular bulgarian beer, my favourite is Zagorka. Tuborg, but not Touborg is danish beer, they bought Shumensko Pivo in the city of Shumen and I think they are the third beer company in Bulgaria as long as sales are discussed.
Hi folks, I´m back Georgi, you looks like expert by knowledges, do you like traveling that much or you have a family in Europe ? Well, I was on the road 2 weeks (we planned month) but we haden´t had got a good relationship with my fellow traveller and when my friend lost deal of the money, I had a problem with truckers (specially with one, it was hard) and also one accident we came back to Slovakia and stayed in Macedonia only two days (in Ohrid). But it looks truly like a nice country and maybe if the stars will wish me, I will come back Because I tried only Dab )) But in Serbia, better beer for me was Jelen, it was also stronger....I´m sorry Georgi, maybe it´s something between women )))))))
Oh, and thanks for the site mellowny, Macedonian is in a lot of places similar to Slovakian. About Bush, yes you´re right. He´s special ) Maybe next time in Ljubljana
hello! i m greek. basically it was not quite exactly as you mentioned about the name. i mean macedonia is a big geographically speaking place.one part of it belongs to greece, one to Fyrom and the other to Bulgary. i understand that fyro is not a good sound but telling that macedonia belongs exclusively only to you doesn t sound good either. however its a fight among nationalists and i wont participate. afterall we and you fight for Alexander the great , you know, if he was ours or yours and i personally consider him as a cruel imperialist and so not my brother. but the nationalist voices from greece anf from macedonia are getting courage so we have got to be careful. one world one nation one love. peace and justice.
Short remark: Tuborg is not an independent beer. It's owned by Carlsberg, and brewed at exactly same brewery in Denmark. So it must be Carlsberg who has bought this Shumensko Pivo that you mention. love, -wolf-
Đe ste Makedonci, ima li vas? Nisu vas valjda grci poćerali sa foruma?  Anyway, never really been to Former (or maybe the "F" stands for future:rolleyes5)Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia. (i was just passing through on my way to Former Turkish Republic of GREECE) :jester:
hello diafanos! I totally agree with you. I was afraid that someone (greek) will say something stupid here, but you put the things right!
