I just had a very bad experience with fieworks on 4 July, so I apologize for all my negativity.

 

i love going to the neighborhood pool and everyone barbequeing in their back yards, the kids are running through the sprinklers, and everyone is all excited about the fireworks coming up. you go to the central park and have even more food while the city sets off the fireworks, then you go home, soothe your pets which have been stashed in the basement, away form all the noise. and you have some beer, some more beer...some margaritas...it's beautiful.
