I have naturally curly hair - very curly, actually - and it gets extremely knotted just overnight. So if I was to dread my hair, would the fact of it being very very curly help at all? Thanks!
    Peace<3

yes, curly hair is *much* easier to dread than straight hair! good luck :)

I have a question too. I've already dreaded my hair and it was pretty long to begin with. But should my friend who has short hair, wait until his hair grows twice as long as the desired length of his dreads? or should he let them grow in and mature on their own?

-- I don't want to give him the wrong info that wouldn't be right--

some people's hair shrinks. some doesnt. mine barely does (i know only cause i have some lose hairs).
i was told the thicker it is, the less it shrinks. but then again, my hair isnt very thick.. soo....
really, its up to him. if he's ready for it (the lifestyle), then yes! but if he's not, then wait awhile.
