No, despite me love of a good cheese, I feel you just ruined a BLT. Garlic. Grilled. Cheese. With real garlic and processed cheese slices on potato bread, honey wheat, or some non-multigrain. I love using real garlic, but it's not a necessity. Still. Though, I have made an Extra Sharp Vermont Cheddar version, on special occasions... Over campfire rocks with a mesh grillscreen or one of those microwave-style racks is my favorite way of doing it.
someone ordered a grilled chicken today at the cafeteria, but the line server was from Russia and thought she ordered a grilled cheese. The customer said that if she had realized that she was gonna get grilled cheese then she would have asked for tomato sliced in it.
Get two pieces of bread, butter a fryin' pan, and put the bread in it. Than take your cheese (preferably muenster) and place it on top of each slice. Alllow time for the cheese to melt a little, by then the bread'll be nice and brown on the other side. Now here comes the hard part, take a spatula and flip the bread over, so the cheese is face down on the frying pan. PRESS DOWN for about 10 seconds, then flip the bread back over. Then just put the two slices together, and cut horizontaly (sp?), this is how you get the perfect grilled cheese.
hey there even more amazing if your stoned. trust me. also peanut butter and jam sandwiches are amazing when you grill them. yuuuuum
Yeah, grilled cheese is one of those ultimate foods when you're baked... and the ultimate $1 lot sandwich. Goes well with iced tea.
I just recently went vegan. So, no grilled cheeses for me. As we all know, soy cheese is gross. And it doesn't melt, unless it has casein in it. But, grilled PB & J, them's I can do!
and with new castle but for the super duper dupe of york you gotta have sharp chedder, feta, garlic, pesto, crushed red pepper, and basil melted in a pile of oooozzing goodness between two fat slices of rye bread
LOL I have never heard of them! I'm vegan too though And I wouldn't eat grilled cheeses if I was not vegan...their so bad for you...
Yeah, I take pita bread and put liberal amounts of nutritional yeast on it. Then, I melt down some soy margarine in the microwave and when it's a creamy liquid, I pour it on the nutritional yeast and mix it on top of the pita. Then, I put the whole thing in the microwave and heat it for a minute. Take it out and eat it. It's the Uncheese sandwich. The other day, I was feeling creative, so I made my Uncheese sandwich, but I caramelized some onions and some garlic and put it on there and some basil, too. It was delicious. Drank it down with some iced sweet tea. Iced tea goes with anything.
