I've followed this thread and I didn't even know that we will have to carry cards? How cute. Can I have mine in pink please? Just kidding folks. The Pink Panther does not side with the inspector clusseaus of this world, or the Insperctor Clueless. But can you explain to me one or two things please?

You might want to ask a few questions first.
Here is the ''official'' line anyway.
    http://www.identitycards.gov.uk/myths.asp
I've read a hell of a lot of stuff that is not that accurate here - not to say a lot of what I have said is not accurate - I think you just need to look into it yourself and come to your own conclusions.

It just seems there is a lot of mish mash of information/prejudice and just down right bollocks within this thread - I'm sure parroted throughout the internet - I'm sure the ''goverment'' have heard it ALL before - this is one reason why I doubt they have minions looking through forums.

Appropriate - but I think that if anybody does read this thread they will find more of the arguemnt [and links -your link is the first thing that was posted] to show how ''evil'' this scheme is.
But yeah some people are not going to read the whole lot - so forget i even said this

heres a few reasons why no2id are a bad idea

1 their most prominent members include politicians, and we all know how they stab you in the back to get a vote

    2) they are good at mouthing off in a forum and having tea with their mates up at parliament square but they have little to no organisation in the suburbs

    3) quite a lot are liberals and out on the street they were against the war and in parliament they stabbed everyone in the back by supporting the war

    4) they are computer illiterate and as a result sent out an offensive email to everyone by cc'ing it in which two parliamentary members of no2id were discussing the street level activists in a derogatory, patronising, and conteptuous manner. Oh yes I was a member of that organisation from about 12 months ago but got out about 6 months ago

    5) Better to go anonymous and be individualistic about dissent no2id is there to channel the dissent behind parliament and will leave the dissent disorganised and will take the dissent to a compromise but there must be no compromise - not without a fight ! hee hee hee and we all know someone who can video that episode for the thread in protest

Devices the size of a grain of rice that are implanted with a needle could give emergency room doctors quick access to the records of chronically ill patients, the nation's largest doctors group said in a report.

The association adopted a policy Monday stating that the devices can improve the "safety and efficiency of patient care" by helping to identify patients and enabling secure access to clinical information.
