If a person starts growing using sun light and then switchs to a grow light what type of effect does that do to the plant if any?

if any effect.. it would be slowing down on the growth speed if not flowering.. the sun is stronger and has a better spectrum than any indoor light...

I don't even know what a sun light is, when I pop beans I use a 2 ft 40 w floro stand, works great. After a week or two they go under the 400w...

I believe he was referring to a "sun light" -> plug in cheap grow light vs the OP's reference to good ole sol (sunlight) :)

no dude I am pretty sure he meant the sun. you know, the gigantic burning ball of fire in the sky. he said "sun light" not "a sun light" i dunno tho. I am really bored and wishing I was baked.

:) No my man. read the 3rd post. Lune was asking what "a sunlight" was - all in all we are on the same page. :)
