dood, lsd is a leaf from an exotic plant found on mars. it grows there and the acid that makes it through the astroid belt is the most potent and it lands here on earth to random people and thats where it comes from.
I hope your dealer can find some for you, but first I'd read up on it at Erowid if I were you. Your questions are good ones, just very preliminary.
usually one hit is a little 1/4" by 1/4" piece of paper that you just leave in your mouth for 20 or so minutes. costs anywhere from $5 to $15 per hit, but dont pay more than $10. and ya, i'd read up on erowid first if i were you, get to know acid really well before you try it.

are you serious.... Erowid has all that and then some... but the low down is this. It will probably be blotter which is LSD on paper. It will probably be 10-15$ for a single hit. Take the blotter put it in your mouth and suck on the paper for bout 20 minutes and then swallow it. it will last about 12 hours. Buy 2 or 3 for yourself but onlyt eat one to start with. See how you feel in a few hours and eat more depending on your state. Since its your first time, trip with a buddy. It is also found in liquid, geltab, and microdot (smal pill). Whatever form you get it in, start with one and work your way up. 15$ is a lil pricey. But in places where lsd is very rare its not uncommon to see it for 15 a hit. Ive paid 20 before at college when i hadnt tripped for about 9 months. RIP OFF. But it was legit white blotter and it was good so 40 bucks for two was alright under those circumstances considering it never comes around my school ever unless i bring it up.
Most commonly you get it in the form of really tiny pieces of paper with a colourful print on it and a bit of liquid lsd on them. You put the piece of paper under your toung and let it there for 10-15 minutes then you swallow it. It can also come in microdots, really, really, really tiny pieces of.. something that are incredibly small and are often stronger then the blotters (the pieces of papers). If you're really lucky you can find liquid LSD where one drop is usually a dose.. And.. a nice dose is 100-200 ug, somewhere in that range. Where I live thats one blotter, but aroudn other area's you might need more. Trips in the 200-400 ug range are fun too but not adviced for beginners.
