I would advocate that dogs are not necessary in a town or city and that people who own dogs in a town or city are actually being obnoxiously selfish by causing stress and discomfort to others - a dog is an animal that is now being used as an attack weapon by many chavs and other mindless morons who think its cool to have an aggressive breed of dog We should make it so no dogs must live within the city limits unless within 1 mile of a designated greenbelt and any dog within the exclusionb zone to be taken to a dog crusher or however they are dealt with. dogs are a filthy dirty animal that is capable of great aggression but they are a necessity for farmers etc in the countryside
I struggle to cope with the animals myself, and my children will tell you that "Dad don't like dogs", and here comes the but, I believe a lot of people need the companionship a fellow mammal can give, we are not designed to be solitary creatures but to survive city life that quite often ends up as the way to deal with it, other mammals to share existence with might even be a necessity. I'll agree with the sentiment regarding young males and dogs though. I reckon we should just take the young men out of the equation, they not the hounds are responsible for a lot of societies ails.
Dogs are not meant to be in the city and the reason only why dogs are allowed in British cities is because back in the 17th & 18th century people werer going to the city from the countryside and couldnt bear to leave the dog behind. The farmers and such were forced to bring them but essentially they were working dogs but eventually they also had shit like poodles and other vietnamese delicacies such as dacshund (sp) etc the sheepdog was the most prominent breed in londonb at hat time as the rich bastards stole all the poorer peoples land
i don't think dogs should be kept from towns and cities but i do have a BIG problem with people who keep BIG dogs in tiny apartments/homes. I think that is just cruel to the dog. I'm not a dog person btw, find the occasional one cute; but for me it's all about cats.
