I learned with sadness of the death of Andreas Katsulas, who played the character of G'kar on Babylon 5, has died at the age of 59 from lung cancer. He was a truly great actor, but was also a chain smoker. This is a sad day for all Sci-Fi fans, he also played Commander Tomalok, a Romulan in Star Trek the Next Generation.

its funny I saw this thread, as I just brought season 4 of B5 on ebay for £25. which includes postage, so check on ebay.

this is because the creators got some of the actors to film a 'years later' ending that was supposed to come at the end of season six, except the show got cancelled, and that ending was used at the end of season 5 instead, to end the series, this turned the end of season 5 into a complete show final and therefore left the would be cliff hangers unanswered

I heard it was 'cut short' the intention was for x amount of series but they only managed y.. not as horribly rushed and convoluted as say Dark skys and i guess the films did answer some of the question.. but yeah bit dissapointing from what i remember.

Here in the Us it switched from UPN, to TNT, to Sci-Fi net work before I got to see it all!
It is my all time favorite Sci-Fi program!

G'kar certainly turned out to be the most stoic character over 5 seasons on Babylon 5.

I'll always remember him on the last season as he and Lyta Alexander depart on their voyage to the outer-rim (I hope he made it) :)

I never got into Babylon 5, although I have only seen the 1st season and it apparently is better in and after the 3rd season. I think I just love Star Trek too much. :p

Well good news, i just saw a trailer on babylon5.com for a new movie called Babylon 5: The Lost Tales! :) Trailer looked great and the release date is set for July 31st so i can't wait. I just picked up season 5 finally on DVD, think i'll try and watch through that before the new movie is out.

I loved that show, didn't watch it right from the start but I got hooked from about season 2 onwards.

I just found out that two of the actors in it are dead! Andreas Katsulas who played G'Kar died of lung cancer aged 59 and Richard Biggs who played Dr Benjamin Franklin also died suddenly in 2004 at the age of 46!

I feel quite sad about that, they both played great characters, I miss that show a lot.
