Heck , don't eat those. None of these look like psilocybes, . Nice effort though.

But where do you come from?

The most common magic mushrooms usually bruise blue when you handle them. That's one way to know if you might have hit something good. Even that is not a certitude though, other non-active and possibly poisonous ones go blue as well.

actually number two and four look somewhat like psilocybe cubensis to me, but i have no size reference, see no blueing, and no sporeprint has been taken. plus its been long enough since i've grown and seen fresh cubes up close to tell about certain other aspects. plus the stipes are two thin, the mushrooms -seem- far too small (though like i said i havent much for a point of reference) and once again, no blueing. honestly since its been so long i cant remember what color the gills should be.

that said, they do look a bit suspicious...

if you are even slightly doubtful about it, if you have to ask....then its not worth eating them. trust me - throw them out!

the caps on 2 and 4 are what remind me of cubes.

however the stipes should be thicker and should be white, not brown. and it should ALWAYS bruise blue upon handling (any cut should change color rather quickly)

the spore print should be a dark purplish color.

regardless, i think theres a good chance that you've NOT got psilocybe cubensis. unfortunately i know little about non-psilocybian mushrooms and have never picked my own, only grown. so i know virtually nothing about look-alikes, but know they exist.

i've handled enough fresh cubes to know they should ALWAYS bruise.

and the stipes i've seen have ALWAYS been white.

i've heard there are many look-alikes for most psychoactive mushrooms, and some of these are poisonous - some even lethally so. cubensis is not exempt from this possibility.

while it seems like these mushrooms are reminiscent of psilocybe cubensis, to an actual trained mycologist the similarities may be superficial at best. i am no expert, but am HIGHLY suspicious of your mushrooms and urge you with the utmost sincerity to NOT eat what you've wildcrafted! mushroom hunting is dangerous business and best left to those who know what they're doing.

be careful. have fn looking for and picking wild mushrooms, but never eat them. grow your own, or get the help of an expert IN THE FIELD....even if i were an expert, theres only so much someone can do to make a positive ID over the internet!

None of those are P. cubensis for sure. None have an annulus and they do not bruise blue. The cap of number three resemble the ones somebody I met is growing, but that seems to be the only similarity. I do not know if they are another species that you would want or not.

I agree with what people said above. None of those look like actives. To find out which spiecies it is, you have to do these steps to make sure:

    1) Record the wheater and climate in the area that the mushrooms were growing in
    2) Record what the mushrooms were growing in
    3) Take clear digital pictures of the mushrooms and close ups of the cap and underneith and so on
    4) Take spore prints of each mushroom
    5) Take approximate measurements of the stem and cap
    6) Record if the gills are attached or loose
    7) Record a full colour description of the stem, cap, gills, spore print and bruising (if any)
    8) Record a physical description of the stem (hollow?, solid?)
    9) Ask on an internet forum such as this one or the Shroomery.org
    10) Do these steps, thank you
