So this summer i'm going to try to work out my upper body and actually stick with it so I can buss some skulls, any tips on how to make my punches harder(without brass knuckles or rings now, thats bad)? Any one wanna join me in my quest for physical fitness? Also any tips on staying motivated and not getting lazy? Diet suggestions? anything?
Don't eat fast food. If you want to punch harder, throw punches. Sounds silly but its the best way. Try 50 (sets of 10) with each arm first thing after waking up.
You want to work out your upper body so you can bust some skulls??? So you can punch harder???? Sorry I don't get it. Do you live somewhere where your manhood is measured by how hard you can punch someone? Anyway, eat a well balanced diet and don't forget the cardiovascular workout in addition to working on upper body strength. Big biceps don't mean shit with a weak heart. My upper body workout regime consists of operating a Husqvarna 359 while cutting 30 cords of wood, along with the splitting of that wood with an 8 pound maul, or if it get tough an 8 pound sledge hammer with a wedge or two. Makes working out pay off in more ways than one.
I'm going out in a few minutes for my morning work out. Clear an ares of weeds with a machete, then mix them into my compost bins moving about a ton of compost with a pitchfork. Then load the pickup for a drive to the dump, where I get to unload it. Then load up the 100 pounder propane tanks to get filled so we'll be set for next winter. This week clear a pad to pour a slab for a new tool shed. Wish I had time to go to the gym.
working out to punch harder? what the fuck? stop punching people!!!!!!!! punching people is idiotic working out so u can continue an idiotic activity is extra idiotic building your body because you have a weak mind is the definition of idiocy instead of activity i suggest inactivity, meditation, yoga thai chi , calm the mind so the body feels no desires or need to punch.. punching harder is not a mens issue, mens issues are that they punch too often, shouldnt you be asking why do i feel like i need to punch all the time? the solution isnt in a harder punch but in resisting the urge to punch & avoiding situations that provoke you karate, kung fu, anmny martial arts can teach the weakest people how to focus force & punch hard, but the most important thing they teach is how to not punch how to avoid situations where punching becoes an issue true strength comes from walking away from a fight
well....yeah pretty much and how hard a punh you can take. Pretty stupid but teenagers are stupid in general. As for the martial arts stuff, i'm not too sure about yoga now, but ever see that one inch punch bruce lee does? That shits nuts! Also to anyone who works out when should I add more wieght/more reps? I've got 80 pounds on my bench press now and do like 50 reps and thats all i can manage without seriously tearing my muscle(i'm only 130 pounds, thus why i'm working out so i dont get my ass kicked tooo badly), plus how many colories? Yeah that cardio stuff is very true, I get a decent amount of that jsut running around my neighborhood though
I do a lot of walking. Riding a bycicle is enjoyable if I can get one fixed. I was lifting some weights just the other day---not wanting anything more than to feel fit and strong. No busting heads for me.
last time I checked only bitch ass pussies kick when they're fighting so why would I work out my legs? I dont care about going to the gym and takeing off my shirt and wearing speedos so I can impress people thats just dumb. If someone ever tried to kick someone in a fight where i'm from they'd get a bat in the head.
If you want to hit hard, the key is not in your upper body strength, but in your foot work, if you don shift your weight the right way all the power will go down the drain. I recommend you to go in a boxing gym and train a month maybe, just to learn the basics of punching.
or get a punching bag i think learning to punch is a great muscular movement to be familiar with... if somebody ever tried to get up in my face i'd probably try to diffuse the situation, however if they continued to badger into my face physically and emotionally it would be a nice feeling to know i could do whatever i wanted with the dude's life. know what i'm sayin? i used to take judo a while ago and they teach how to armbar/ choke also muy thai which i don't want to take classes for but i've seen movies where people are in a fight match and they knee each other in the head , which can kill someone. so since i don't recommend fighting, i do recommend protection. at least, that's what i am doing with my life, and i don't care what anyone says cuz i'm a very kind and nice person but if someone pushes you around who do you think will protect you? the person next to you? the person next to him? ha i'd rather take care of myself thank you.
-steve- SSotirov is right. All your strength will be useless if you don't know how to punch properly. And just because you're not going to be kicking doesn't mean you're not going to be using your legs! You need good footwork for both punching and, just as importantly, avoiding getting punched. And don't forget that you also need to condition your cardiovascular system. Why do you think boxers include running and skipping rope in their training regimen?
I am currently working for mass. Like bodybuilding but as of my age i'm not going as crazy. But from the lack of your matuarity and what you wish to use strenght, I am not willing to help you.
