wow...out of line buddy...you are the one that sounds dumb, ignorant and childish. i believe their is a higher intelligence inherent in us all (a god consciousness, higher self etc) as well as spirit teachers & guides and they certainly have a way of guiding us to or keeping us from tools like lsd. i was fascinated by lsd for years before it was actually available to me...i'm glad for it looking back because if i had tripped way back when, it certainly would have been a scary situation. the time it was available was perfect! perfect! and i don't doubt there was something "higher" at work.
This is an interesting topic. Certainly the LSD gods aren't perfect, because I'm sure there are people out there who "deserve" it/could handle it but can't find it, just as I'm sure there are people who have plenty of it and will ruin their lives with it. That said, I think there is some truth to the guiding principle. LSD isn't easy to find these days, and I think the better you understand what it's for and why you should take it, the more likely you'll be to actually get your hands on it
3xi, I know what you mean, some people do not seem responsible enough to handle certain substances, and so those who know them rightfully do not feel comfortable supplying them with things like lsd. However, this is only one type of situation and cannot be generalized to explain what goes on in every instance. Saying “lsd will find you when you are ready for it” to someone is implying that they are not ready and if you don’t know a person well, you simply don’t know what they are ready for or not. (And even if you do know a person well and think that they are not ready, there’s no guarantee that you are right, its a judgement call, at times a very ambiguous one). I don’t know if I would grant the “average” lsd user to be able to accurately judge who is “worthy” and who isn’t. Actually, I probably would. But when working with a substance as mysterious and unpredictable as lsd, by the nature of things, there isn’t a whole lot of confidence in this judgement call (a lot of the time). So, yes, it does seem presumtive to tell people “lsd will find you when you are ready for it”, unless you truly know them (and even then, it comes off as a bit holier than thou, especially if you don’t explain how so). It is possible that someone quite ready doesn’t have access to lsd while several irresponsible people have easy access to it. I don’t see how this statement can be denied. And it suggests that the “lsd will find you when you’re ready” theory only applies to certain situations, and the wording “lsd will find you...” is still obnoxious, when what’s happening in reality is someone is making a judgement call and giving you access to it. It seems obvious to me that this “lsd will find you” theory is a sort of folklore which people will laugh at sometime in the future if lsd becomes more widespread and available. Just like people probably said this sort of thing about DMT when mimosa hostilis rootbark (etc) wasn’t available for sale on the internet and people couldn’t perform their own extractions. The easier something is to obtain, the less pseudo-mystical nonsense surrounds the process of obtaining it. Has history not shown this to be true?
How strange. If you go out looking for lsd and know where to look, the lsd isn't coming to you - you're going to it. Its all about who you know, and who your dealer knows. Get your dealer to hunt some down if you can't find it, chances are they'll know someone. I never have an issue getting it or shrooms one way or another.
but you go out and look for lsd because of the power of "attraction". you want lsd, so you are attracting it to you, through a string of processes. you are attracting it to yourself.
When God hath ordained a creature to die in a particular place, He causeth that creature's wants to direct him to that place. Liet-Kynes, quoting the Orange Catholic Bible
"lsd will find you".... its not a hard and fast rule. and not everything in life has to be true or false, it might be a more spirtual thing, but you will never hear the last of it, cause alot of acid users will tell you its true. i wanted acid for years before i got it, but i was in school, i was young. not ready... all that.. well go on, spoil the fun for everyone. fuck it. tell them all santa isnt real. crush their li'll beleifs. just cause you's dont have any spirituality
I believe spirituality is about the Truth. I liked your attraction post, it was a little new-agey, but I can buy it. It makes sense. Then you had to go and say "lsd finds you" again (insert sad face).
very good point! because he goes out with the belief that he will find some - he does! i think it is very difficult for someone to believe that they will find something that their higher self doesnt want them to find yet. in other words - if your higher self does not want you to find lsd YET then you will not believe that you will find it. if you are sitting around wondering why it is so hard to find lsd you are only making it more likely that you will not find any. if you set out with the intention to find some and believe that you will then you will attract it. sitting around the house thinking about how hard it is to find will attract nothing. in order to attract something to yourself you must believe. and in order to believe you must feel ready for it or deserving of it.
Very good post. Now we must make this distinction... does the higher self know what's best for the ego or whatever? Will the higher self guide one who is not ready away from LSD, or is the law of attraction simply about belief and confidence? I suppose we could rank these four categories of people in the following way, with 1 meaning LSD is very easy to find, and 4 meaning LSD is very difficult to find: 1. Genuinely believes he can find LSD and is ready for LSD 2 or 3 - Genuinely believes he can find LSD, but is not ready for it. 2 or 3 - Does not whole-heartedly believe he can find LSD, but is ready for it 4. Does not whole-heartedly believe he can find LSD, and is not ready for it.
yeah i had always wanted to do lsd eventually but i had never really put any effort into getting it. One day i just decided that i wanted to try some mushrooms for a new kind of experience so i asked my weed dealer and he said that he isnt able to get any but could get lsd whenever i wanted. And that day i believe that i was truely ready for it i could tell. mabey i was ready before that but i wouldnt have been able to tell. Yeah that thing about "having lsd find you" kinda turned out to be true in my case. probly a coincidence but whatever its cool to think about it.
